Hey,
curios to know your opinion. What do you think?
Would a tank (RTA, RBTA) be better for MTL as an rda?

Does the chimney change the vape for MTL?

I have the feeling that since i do vape in MTL my tank fits better. Throat Hit and flavour.
Was direct lung vaper the last 5 years and now went to MTL. So i need to reconfigure my equipment.

thank you
armin

Have no interest in a pod? They really can be more than just a slinking around vaping where you know you shouldn't type of stealth vape.
When I tired of rebuilding and moved back to MTL I just just dug out my old VV Evods and drop in coil clearos thinking they'd be just as good or better than any pod.
Then I won my first pod in a giveaway.... Blew me away.

Was more about your experiences with RDA and RTA when it comes to MTL.
flavour like and such things... Read an article on a forum where some discussed the importance of the chimney when it comes to MTL. Also the mix of the liquids which would be different compared to DL.

i do test all of the options. RDA (squonk), Tanks (Galaxy MTL), PODs (Zero, EQ, Orion) and found that the Tank gave me the best flavour/throat hit feeling of all.

Compared to the RDA (Salix with 1.8 mm disc) the Galaxy feels better. Same coil, cotton and battery.

Maybe long DTs for RDAs would do the trick as well.. Just curios how you feel it.

Just curious, why do you suggest an RDA instead of an RTA for a beginner? Aren’t they pretty much the same?

RDA are usually easer and forgive wicking issues. But the RTAs from today are really pretty good i have to say. Use the Galaxy Tank since a while. Haven't used tanks 5 years long.

RDA=rebuildable dripping atomizer
RTA=rebuildable tank atomizer
Not being snarky, but they are different animals alltogether.

So i suppose there were RDA's designed for mouth to lung. I guess vapers didn't see it that way though.

They say that a chamber will affect the flavour. Svoemesto produced the Prime with a smaller chamber than it's predecessors to improve flavour. I'm not sure a chimney makes any difference in flavour though. I don't know !.

Pretty sure an RTA is purpose built for mouth to lung, well alright, they used to be. Whereas an RDA is not.

You have not been keeping up with recent events for a while, huh?
DL tanks have been around for a few years now and MTL RDAs are relatively common now.
RDAs used to be MTL, as well. Remember those 14mm ones? Super finicky to build on.
Sometimes had to drill out the AF hole, just to get a decent MTL vape!

You'll have to go back several years but the Vicious Ant Cyclone v1, Chalice 1, Chalice 2, Chalice 3, Retro, Diva....all were MTL rda, unless you drilled it out. There are several others and for what it is worth, many of the euro designers do mtl rda. Keep in mind this whole vaping thing started out as a mtl thing and evolved from there.

Yeah, but the wicking is the same thing. At least from what I’ve seen
True, wicking is the same but an rda is direct to the mouth via DT, rta has a chamber and chimney, in an rda the cap is the chamber. In an rta the length and diameter of the chimney make a difference.

A chimney will create condensation though. And really, if you want an RDA with a chimney just get an extra long drip tip. Though, i've got a handful of ss drip tips which are the size of a gear shifter, all they ever did was create a whole load of condensation and i'd get a mouth full of juice after a while.
