Hubby is a non-smoker and non-vaper. He's very happy I started vaping. A few times a year when he had a cold or allergy flare ups that bothered his nose and eyes he would complain about my smoke even way across the room (with an air purifier right next to me... he wouldn't let me go outside in the winter) or outside to if the breeze changed directions... and never does now about my vape.

Im not married but as close to married as possible I suppose. We have been living together for over a year now. When we met I was in denial I was a smoker. I was the kind of person who would bum smokes 10 times a day or always be "quitting" so even when buying a pack a day I wasnt a smoker. The main thing she hated was smoking. She said it was a deal breaker when dating someone. Luckily she fell in love with me before I realized I wasnt quitting and I had a problem and came clean that I smoked. She always hated people with their ecigs too. She always said how stupid they looked puffing on their plastic cig with a blue light on the end. However, when I switched to vaping she started to come around. Now I vape in bed, on the couch, making dinner, in her car and everywhere without an issue. She loves the fact I dont smell like crap any more and she even takes a hit from time to time just because they taste so good. She only gives me a little grief when I come home with new random juice when she knows ive already got 20+ different bottles already. She is glad I dont smoke tho and only gives me a hard time because she can. She ordered me a new provari for christmas so Id say she is on board =)

My mother bought me my first set up after my grandmother died of lung cancer that spread to her brain. She gave it to me the day of the funeral. Considering the circumstances, my husband went along with it. I wound up buying him a set up too, a couple days after I've been vaping. Never told him he had to try it, or quit analogs himself, just wanted a set up there for him should he decide to. He did. Whining a bit as he did, but it wasn't like I held a gun to him.

There was some argument over money when I bought a better set up for myself, but I was able to state my case well enough for him to get curious enough to try my iTaste vv v3 and mini protank II. Unfortunately, he saw the light a little too well, and he's stolen all my gear. He was actually excited to see vape mail today, because now he no longer needs to share my gear with me. He was also excited over a purchase I made for him for Christmas. A result of the research I spent my time on and something he's quite happy with.

When I'm about to or place an order, she's like: thFXAIG2JW.jpg

Then, when she uses whatever I get, she's like:thK1XO8NU9.jpg

I have told parts of this story at various times but here is the current story to date.

Last March I decided to try vaping instead of smoking but moeny was really tight for us and the thought of dropping $100 bucks on an EGO-C system + juice terrified me since if it didn't work it would be that $100 + the cost of smokes. THe hubby said to "Honey you are trying to make a positive change for your health we will find a way. Order it."

Well the ego-C tank system that came with the kit was a complete and utter disaster for me. He said "Try something different." SO another $20 picking up a couple of the REDUX CE5 clones and some juice. It worked.

THen I heard about the pending FDA of doom and panicked. I was off cigs for the first time in 30+ years and happy and I might loose it so quickly. SO he and I started doing holmework and figured out that if I DIY juice we would save money. Mechs and rebuildables have a sustainability the ego's didn't. So that month I picked up an Octopus RDA and a gripper + DIY juice supplies. THe next month I picked up the K100 Mech. The month after that I picked up the Sentinel V3 clone a pair of AGA-Ts (bought at huge discount from a friend), and 2 IGO-L clones.

But I was still left with no really SOLID device and really like tanks that could be laid down (AGA-Ts have to stand up or they leak). I spent weeks and months doing homework and settled on the REO grand but once again big up front cost. 6 weeks ago he said to me you got a birthday/Christmas ahead order it and the RM2.

Today REO #2 arrived. His idea. Why? He said "The first one was Birthday lets call this one Christmas" Then he said with a sparkle in the eye "Gotta love a woman that is easy to buy presents for."

He is behind me 100% on this journey. BTW he never smoked and never complained about my smoking.

When I first announced to my girlfriend that I switched I got a lukewarm reception. A few weeks later she was suddenly VERY supportive after seeing Jenny Macarthy on the View supporting e cigs. I guess it's not the right choice until some celeb backs it.

Anyway, my girlfriend smoked around 1 or 2 cigs a day, presumably so she could not smell it on ME. Three months later, I can't even touch the smellies because my body now rejects them, yet she still will not even try vaping and STILL smokes. Hmmmm, I guess all in their own time, eh?

Hello fellow vapors I just thought I'd start a thread about what our S/Os think about vaping.

Sorry if there is already a thread covering this

My fiancé thinks it's better then me smoking analogs but she doesn't like me to spend a ton of money on gear

My fiancé is not a vapor she does like to try some flavors sometimes but not to often. She however hates analogs and we would often argue over me going out to have a analog and I'd have to wash my hands and brush my teeth after a analog just to get a kiss now she only kisses me if I'm vaping lol so she can smell the wonderfulness

Same here with my SO! He doesn't smoke cigarettes, I have to clean up after a cig and yet when we met he knew I smoked!
Edit: He does love me but likes to nag, nag, nag. I used to smoke 2 packs a day and now just a couple cigs a day:)

I've been a pretty solid pack a day smoker for the last 16 years. Last year, my wife suggested vaping and I had no intentions of quitting the analogs. We went and picked up a 650 mAh passthrough kit from the shop right down the street and I've used it off and on for the last year or so.

About 2 weeks ago, I stopped and picked up some fresh juice on the way home from the grocery store as a sort of "surprise" for her i.e. me. I've had 5 cigarettes total since December, 2. I don't have any intentions of smoking cigarettes anymore, even have some new equipment and juices coming in the mail but I do enjoy the occasional cigar with a good friend of mine.

She's totally supportive of it and has never been a smoker. She enjoys the occasional pull off of my PV and even wants her own for when we go out.

About a month ago I sprung on her that I wanted a new motorcycle and she says things like "if you want it, we'll make it work." We've had to cut back on some things but since I'm not blowing 50 bucks a week on smokes and it's more like 20 on juice and gear, we do make it work.

She's my partner in crime and my rock when I feel like I want to do things that are less than good for me. Gotta love her and I totally do.

It was my never smoked husband that suggested an ecig. He was under the mistaken idea that I could use it while flying. So I did research which brought me to ECF. He celebrated with me when my 1 year Vaperversary came around. He has repeatedly remarked how proud he is that I've stuck with vaping. He's bought two of my three ProVari. First one was for Christmas last year and the third for my birthday this last October. He's a keeper  :D

Haha, mine said regarding a motorcycle, "ohhh that'd be cool... but I'm not getting on it." I probably wouldn't let her anyway. I have no problem risking my own life for a thrill but I never, ever risk anyone else, especially her.
