while i dont necessarily agree with the method.. i fully understand braindead's frustration...

i want to take a second to make something 100% clear...

before anybody gets the idea to hit the ban button...

i am not here to stir the pot... i'm not here to start anything....

i have been here all of my time to learn about vaping (even though i had been alread doing it before i EVER thought to even LOOK for a forum) and upon learning.. i have been at it for the social aspect....

i have never TRULY had any issue of worth against ecf other than the methods of treatment towards it's members... SOMETIMES

i learned a HUGE amount here at ecf... really... and i made some unbelievably GREAT friends... i even still have friends here that i cherish... hell.. i've even made it a point to continue to try to get along with one member here that most of the "rejects" outright despise..

i guess what i'm trying to say (sorry.. lost my train of thought because i have a RL and it gets in the way of me typing sometimes) i am here if anybody "upper management" would like to have SOME sort of REAL dialog about the situation that SOME feel YOU have intitated....

i HAVE made that attempt.. but it seems it went ignored

if WE... as a COMMUNITY would like this childish squabbling to end.... then WE need healthy dialog.. not the random member who gets fed up and demands to be removed... not unrealistic demands placed on even having stated dialog... we do NOT have to go holding hands into the sunset singing happy songs of love and peace... but we DO need unity of SOME sort..

if you don't like my post.. fine.. my apologies for taking a moment to speak my mind.. feel free to remove the post. do me a favor... i gave a GOOD thing a shot here... please feel free to take THAT into consideration before opining to dole out a punishment on me...

There is another forum that is a central place for those who are banned from here to plot attacks on ECF. All we do is defend against those attacks. Pretty simple I would have thought, yes?

As a member of that forum you refer to, I would disagree that it's a central place to plot attacks on ECF. I also believe whatever attacks..as you put it...that have come from there are grossly overrated and borders on paranoia on your part. It's actually a fun and 'free to be yourself' place to hang out, a place where you can have a bad day and the moderators can have a bad day and no one ever has to 'move on'. There are also plenty of veteran vapors there that are always ready and willing to help out the newbies. If that is a place for "ECF Rejects" as you put it, I'm proud to be one of those rejects. Nuff said...

There was a thinly veiled reference to this in the FOTR movie during the first onscreen conversation between Gandalf & Sauruman. (Added for theatrical laughs as I'm sure Tolkien never thought of this in the 40's & 50's while writing the books.....)

When people go over the top here they get banned. Nobody gets banned, as far as I know, unless they are a troll or disturbed or something like that. They are here to destroy, not contribute, so a mod gives them the old heave-ho.

People who are just here to disrupt and destroy aren't wanted. What's wrong with that?

All I can see and all I know about is a continual stream of attacks coming from people who are affiliated with a certain forum. Not only that, but there is overwhelming evidence that the attacks are permitted, approved and even planned there. You have seen the posts there with all the resources offered to attack ECF with, yes?

No point in denying it because everyone's seen it - the evidence is overwhelming. It's all been seen and recorded. Nothing's hidden on the web And if the site admins post approval, or post in the same threads where resources such as disposable emails and proxies are offered expressly for the purpose of attacking ECF, that is not just passive approval - it's deliberate provocation and express consent. That's out there and too many people have seen it and recorded it. As I say - the evidence is overwhelming.

The fact that you may not personally know of such an attack doesn't mean that they don't happen. It's no good protesting their innocence, the evidence is too much against it.

But do we retaliate? Of course not. Anything like that would be stamped on immediately.

So forgive me but I can't see what the issue is - we are continually attacked and never retaliate or approve of retaliation. Yes or no? You need to ask the Mods here how much time they spend cleaning up, it's several hours a week for each mod just for people from that place.

No good protesting innocence, too much evidence against it. But like I say, if the continual attacks stop, we can start again perhaps.

It's sure not up to me!

if things are "being recorded" from "there" then

1) you are aware that i am an admin "there"
2) you know that i have done what i CAN within the limits of my personal beliefs (the forum's rules only happen to jibe with said beliefs) to ATTEMPT to put a stop to any and all "attacks"
3) you know also... that i have made numerous comments "there" that i find "forum wars" to be childish and stupid

that said and out of the way

when the first thread about the auction was deleted... yes.. i openly asked as to why.. this actually had nothing to do with "there".. this had to do with my curiousity as to why ecf would seemingly not care about helping to save our rights to vape.. and yes... i "questioningly" stated it in a semi-accusatory manner.. my apologies for the wording.. i excepted my infraction like a good little boy and was done...

i sent SJ a pm about making a try at attempting to fix "the rift" temporarily simply to get what needs to be done.. done.. i got no response.. that's ok though.. as afterward i had been informed that it was YOU i needed to reach out to over this issue.. at which point i sent you an email explaining my position and requesting dialog.. again.. no response...

if you will note... i have been extending the hand... and have been ignored at every turn... YES.. one of this forums management team's LEAST favorite vapers has the absolute be all end all say in the end as to "our" side of things.. but i can guarantee you that i have both the influence and position to officially state that management "there" simply wants what is best for the community at large, and that, recently, the management team has expanded to multiple members who want nothing to do with the drama involved in a "war"

so again i offer my services towards that goal... i have no animosities towards anybody here on your team... and i'm rather well respected over there on mine.. if you would like... i would be HAPPY to be a go between for open dialog to squelch the childishness inherent in the curent status quo if both sides are unwilling orr unable to say what is needed to be said without animosities... as for my credentials... i may be a dirty fighter sometimes.. but i keep a cool head.. you can feel free to ask around

I said the attacks were overrated, I never implied complete innocence. But at the same time some of what a person can read over there is nothing but venting. Sometimes I feel that the 'venting' by the minority is being judged by ECF as the philosophy and complete purpose of the other forum. Well, it's not, or I wouldn't hang out there.

However, I do agree with you that the whole thing is getting more than old and tiring. Some people have a hard time letting go of past wrongs. Me, not so much. I've been wronged a heck of a lot worse that getting banned by some forum, justified or not.

So this will be my last post here on this particular thread, but I want to leave with the thought that the tide can change. This is about the future of vaping and working together as a community. Hopefully we can all see that and 'move on' in a way which benefits us all.
