What does nicotine feel like?

The first and only time I overdosed on nic was a few weeks ago when I put a few used cartos into boiling water to clean them. The cartos were not empty from nic content... and I happened to inadvertently take a direct breath of the vapor coming from the pot...

... it gave me a huge headache that didn't lasted long though, and I felt uncomfortable and almost had nausea. I was afraid for my cat's health (they are very sensible to nicotine I heard) so I opened a window and put the cat in another room.

Since this incident I am overly cautious with everything nicotine-related - I wear gloves and masks and I look like a worker from the Robocop drug factory.

If only everyone was aware that it is VERY dangerous to play with nic. I am sure that a stupid vaper will eventually kill himself and it will stir poodoo in the community. Please don't be that priick and be careful.

I've definitely felt nausea from too much nicotine when vaping. Actually, I just felt that way about ten mins. ago. It's always accompanied by a feeling of a lump in my throat. I always keep water nearby, because washing it down seems to help it subside quickly. Although I am a frequent pop drinker, I realized pretty quickly that taking a sip while feeling nausea is possibly the worst thing you can do. I think that, combined with the sweetness of the e liquid, pop only adds to the nausea.

Anyone else experience that?

I see some mixed reactions. When I first started smoking analogs about 6 years ago I would get that "buzz" all the time. When I described the feeling I'd always say "I feel the nicotine in my veins going through my bloodstream" and people were freaked out. I loved that feeling because I was so relaxed. Since I have switch to vaping exclusively I find that I don't get those buzzes as often but when I vape a higher strength, 24mg or 36mg, I definitely feel something. But I get more nicotine headaches than I do buzzes anymore.

Kind of a basic question, but I'm interested in reading what others think.

When I over-vape, I feel a tingling sensation from within. I think that's the feeling of nicotine in the bloodstream. It's not an unpleasant feeling - although I can see how it could be, in excess.

Oddly, I never felt this sensation when I was smoking. I was a PAD "light" smoker.

It's very possible that I'm ingesting more nicotine via vaping, than I did when smoking. Right now, my max eliquid level is 12 mg. I plan to ramp that down in the future.

So what does nicotine "feel" like to you?
