vaping does not cause dehydration...
This statement is partially right. vaping doesn't cause dehydration, its the sweetness of the juices that dry you out giving you cotton mouth forcing you to try to quench the unquenchable thirst. I know this for a fact cause when I vaped commercial juices I did drink gallons of water all day and up all night pizzing, constantly thirsty and drymouth. I began to DIY my juice cut out the sweetener, vape @ 5% flavor in my mixes(mostly tobaccos) 60/40 ratio. The thirst went away and I don't drink nowhere near the water I use too and sleep all night.
The headaches could be from overnic so take smaller puffs to inhale and learn not to inhale every vape. Drinking too much water also trigger headaches with me. I usually got headaches after I bought a better delivery atty so decreasing the nic stopped my headaches.

@rbrookv - The headaches might also be due to the VG/PG ratio. Personally, if I do above 40% PG I get that back base of the head headache. Also get it if/when I take a hit or 2 and find that the wicking was too slow. Another cause of it for me, is if I forget that a flavoring I used in my DIY had ethyl alcohol in it, and I vape it before evaporating it off.

So, a variety of things could be causing the headaches for different people. Using a process of elimination while testing different factors...might be helpful for you.

I've been vaping 10mg ejuice for a few weeks now and every time I vape for a few minutes I get a tingling sensation and a slight headache in the back of my head. Never had that problem when I smoked analogs. I use a Nautilus mini with an eleaf istick power 80w mod. I decided that maybe if I change my tank and mg to 6 I'd be ok. Went out and bought a kangertech toptank nano with some 6mg ejuice. The problem is the tingling sensation and headache decreases but my nic cravings are more intense. I'm so confused here its not funny, so what do I do? Should I stay with the 6mg or go up to 8 or something and see what that does?
IMHO I never got headaches from vapin, but nausea and stomach aches. What i did was lower Nicotine concetrations ( direct lung vaping make u absorb more nic from what i read) and change liquid type since what i was vaping was way too sweet for me. Now im vaping organic Balkan tobacco liquid of an italian brand and I'm enjoying every ml of it without "sideeffects". Hope i could be helpful even though i didnt really answer ur question;).
