First 2 letters of my first name, Amanda, and first 4 letters of my last name, Beckman. I go by my maiden name on Facebook although I didn't change my name back after my divorce. I liked being at the beginning of the alphabet :). The 22 is how old I was when I came up with ambeck22 as an e-mail address almost 8 years ago (yes, 30 is staring me in the face :().

felix is my firstname. i am born in june, so i came up with the german junifelix, which is quite a lucky word since felix means the lucky one and june is a lucky month, at least for me. when i came to this forum, i felt like changing it into a more "international" and "cryptic" nick - turning the i onto a 0, which is actually a zero, not a big O. juno is old german for june, and i was thinking of the form of your lips, when you blow vapor ...

like to be here, it's always a pleasure ;)

HA, I came to this thread specifically because I saw that you were the last one to post and I had wondered where you picked up your handle. No answered questions I guess LOL.

But I guess if folks really wanted to know where I got my nick, the reason behind it are actually pretty simple. The whole reason I wanted to start vaping was so that I could quit smoking. I had stumbled across other "ecig review" sites before that were absolute crap, and I wasn't sure ECF was any different as I had freshly landed on ECF and hadn't even bothered to look around very hard before I made an account. Heck, I wasn't even sure if vaping was a joke/placebo for folks who were trying to quit smoking as of yet. Thus I didn't put any thought behind a nick (didn't figure I'd end up being a regular around here)...I just chose something simple that was wasn't already taken. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably choose "JadedInTexas" as I use that handle a few other places around the internets.

I took on this name as an homage to my grandfather, and it kinda stuck with me. It was his CB handle from the 60s and 70s. My father and he used to cackle from time to time and he used to open each session with,"This is papa cadillac, Double Eagle(my dad) you got yer ears on?". My dad would reply usually with "10 4", and my grandfather would say,"William, is that you?". My dad used to laugh, and say,"Yeah, but yer not supposed to use names, you old coot! Use my handle!".
Those were the days. My dad still laughs about that whenever it comes up.
I use the name no matter where I'm logged in on the internet. It fits.

FAAmecanic... been using it for years when FAA Mechanic was taken in my first forum registration (back in the 90's when Al discovered the internetz).

FAAmecanic = I am a FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant aircraft mechanic :) Pilots break them, and I charge them plenty to fix them. Or I used to until I took a project management job... whose bright idea was that :)

When i was a dork in high school i use to play a RPG game online where i played a character who was a vampire (waaaay before vampires were cool) I was a big fan of Anne Rice novels back then. So i picked Alaric who was a king of Visigoths / Barbarian general in the Roman army who attacked Rome in 410. My storyline was i was turned shortly after that. NJ is the state i live in. I know sooo lame. I kept using alaric for my handle online since then.
