Back in the day, I followed Achewood, an online comic. For whatever reason, this strip (from eight years ago - I feel old - http://achewood.com/comic.php?date=01142004) tickled me and got stuck in my head:

"All honking and dragging a bunch of rusty bikes" - instead of as a password, I started using it as my username on a number of different forums across the intarwebs. Very exciting. Ha.

Fried Liver Attack:

An extremely aggressive chess opening that involves white sacrificing a knight in order to drive black's King toward the middle of the board.

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Ng5 d5 5. exd5 Nxd5 6. Nxf7 Kxf7 7. Qf3+

I don't play chess very much anymore, but I'm a professional backgammon player and this is one of the names I'm known under in online play for the last 15 years. The dangerously aggressive style of play in the FLA carries over into my BG play.

I love fire opal gems, hence my screen name. In my younger days, as a rock hound, one of my favorite places to go, was a fire opal mine in the Mojave Desert of So. Cal. to dig for fire opals. I had a lapidary set-up and cut and polished the opals I found. I'd take a good opal over a diamond anyday.

Mine came from an argument about chocolate cereal. I was adamant that (at the time) Count Chocula was the best on the market. Me talking smack about their faves. So... easy peasy. :D

All my friends call me Angel, but that's pretty much always taken. :(

I used to use CatDaddy on other forums because we had 13 cats at the time (ours + rescues & long-term boarders). Now we're down to a ¿decent? level, five. (I'd say we're 1 over. Four humans should equal 4 cats.)
