What don't you like about vaping?

Well Said! There's another pet peeve of mine. Who are you to tell anyone how to vape? Do what you like and let the others do what they like!

Wasn't trying to tell anyone "how to vape". Just don't understand the misconception that in order to get a satisfying vape, one has to sub-ohm. Thought I made that clear in my first post...

Not only is it a misconception, but it can be dangerous. Someone may read somewhere that lower Ohms create more vapour, and chuck in a much lower Ohm head without looking further. I hate seeing it too how people moan about how others vape, but if it's moaning about danger and misconception, if anything it's helpful and by far justified, not just for the one vaping it, but for our whole community!

Thank you, Sam. This was my point exactly. I see newbies with these crazy builds all the time....stacking batteries, using hybrids on attys that a more experienced vaper would cringe at. It IS dangerous, and it's these type of situations that lead to bad publicity for the entire community.

Hell, the other day, I watched a video of some guy who's crazy build was making his batteries so hot, he had to hold his mod with a towel! 30 seconds into chain vaping and his batteries went into thermal runaway, and what does he do....pulls the atty off and points the batteries right in his face!?!? And it was all on YT for the world (and newbies) to see.

It's this....this misconception that hot builds is essential to a good vape that is frustrating.

Another thing I hate about vaping is the vaping Portuguese. Sitting smugly on the sun drenched balcony of Spain (as though they were the nipple of Europe) enjoying their vapes with fine wine as the cool breezes of the Atlantic waft over them and their high living standards and high-quality infrastructures elegantly blended with age old architecture. Or vaping while strolling along their hillside cobblestone streets lined with colorful houses or rolling countryside. Yeah, I hate those guys. They ruin it for everyone, especially those of us covered in snow enduring one of the coldest winters ever.

How is it a misconception? or in who's opion is it a misconception? Why does it even matter to you how other people vape?
There are as many vaping styles as there are people who vape! and as long as your not hurting any one but your self.
Who are you to say what is right or wrong? I just don't get this anti sub ohm sentiment :(

I'm not anti-sub ohm- I'm running .5 ohm dual coils as we speak! Re-read my original post and the subsequent posts for clarification. If you still don't get it- read it again. :)

What don't you like about vaping?

Personally, excluding da OP's reference to sub-ohm vaping and others' political fears, I HATE dry hits!!!

I've prep'd for any future legislative challenges/restrictions and ignore da sub-ohm 'sty fights' due to finding my own 'happy vaping place' to keep me off 'bakky.

Other than dry hits and da 'local' in-fighting, I'm a happy camper!

ETA: After reading posts posted as I was composing mine, I really don't GAS how or what folk vape as long as dey don't make headlines!

within my own thoughts....
my #1 headache is bad coils that cause flooding, gurgling and/or burnt taste. Which i'm leaning more toward rebuilding my own coils as each day passes....but i know there will be headaches with that too.

I was close to picking up an analog the other day....just out of pure frustration with a flooding issue on the new BVC coils. Glad i didn't, but it was a close call!

Stepping on stray kanthal
Getting ejuice on my hands ( absolute most hated thing, makes me livid lol )
When the kanthal unspools it's self from the spool
Dry hits when the wick is saturated

When you build the most beautiful coil ever and snap one of the leads
LEAKY TANKS URRRRGGGJJHJHJHJ
Hitting your vape and forgetting the top cap is not on, consequently burning the living .... out of your lip
Vaping while driving
Dripping at night

How addiciting it can be!!!

In the sense that even though I have great batteries and toppers, I'm always wanting MORE! hahaha

I have been forcing myself to use what I have at the moment for a few weeks before my next purchases but it's very hard to resist. I have a long wishlist of items I want to add to my collection but at the rate I've been going in the last few months, it's been costing me more than when I smoked analogs lol!

It's all good though, anything that keeps me from smoking no matter the cost is a good thing.

Otherwise my peeves have been:
- Receiving items with manufacturer defects making them unusable.. (in my case, issues with clones (magma, trident, steam turbine)) either airflow problems or other. I accepted the risk in buying them so I've at least learned from that ;)
- Having vapemail seized by customs (thankfully I haven't had that issue in quite a while)
- Leaky tanks or phantom leaking as someone else mentioned in an earlier post.
- Getting a juice I thought I'd love only to find I don't like the taste at all
- Having toppers not perform as I had hoped

Mostly small pet peeves as you can see, vaping has been good to me and the people around me support me in it. I'm lucky that I can vape all I want at work at my desk. I get a lot of curious questions about my gear from truckers I see at work lol

One time, a driver noticed my gear and was very happy to meet another vaper. We had a nice chat and he was shocked that I rebuild my own coils lol! He then asked me how i did so and asked how he should rebuild his..?! He was asking how many wraps he needed to do.. smh.. I told him it depended on many factors: wire gauge, diameter of coiling, number of wraps, etc.

I think it's sad when vape shops don't properly educate their clients in building coils..

I hate everything about it except that it keeps me off analogs.
I hate all of the crap I have accumulated that I don't dare get rid of.
I hate charging and worrying about charging.
I hate the bottles and devices scattered on my table.
I hate deciding what to take with me when I go out.
I hate how heavy the egrip is, even though it's a great all in one device.
I hate the liter of nic on the counter that I really should separate and put in the freezer.
I hate that I chain vape and can't put the damn thing down.
It's been almost 6 years. I'm way past the hobby aspect of vaping.
I'm past the next new best thing you have to have.
I have gear that works.
I miss the simplicity of a pack and a bic.

I hate the thought of COPD. So there.

Wow! Now that's an exaustive list! Have you ever considered going back to analogs? (Not that I am recommending AT ALL, just curious!)
