It's VERY VERY rare to have trouble with an ecig battery. They ARE pretty powerful batteries, but most that "fail" have been mistreated in some way. Besides that though - your description isn't enough to identify the brand - that sounds like a LOT of them.
If you could post a photo, that would help people let you know if you've got a "very reliable brand name" or an "unknown, knockoff" - or the one (there is one) that was recalled...

So - I certainly wouldn't freak out - they're really quite safe, but it can't hurt to learn as much as you can or want about the batteries!

Need a pic guy you just described a slew of those things. There is always some story about that stuff. I never had that happen with any of the diff kinds I have had. I suspect that some of not many of those cases the operator did something they were not suppose to do. Anyway if you want us to tell you what you have give us a Picture.

I got this an e cig at a quick stop and been vaping it then heard one blew up in a mans face. Mine is about 3 inches long and has a blue led button that lights up when pushed to take a drag off of it. Someone please tell me what I'm using and if it will explode!

It's Called blu ecig their trademarked for blue LED's at the end of their Ecigs.

From your description, it sounds like its one of those exploding e-cig gag gifts. Better be careful with it.

the cig-alike-ecig that blew up was modified to be used as a passthrough with a USB charger.
the man later apologized to the e-cig enthusiast community for the media's negative spin on his mistake.
This is what I have heard about it.
