So today i made the decision to try out electronic cigarettes.

I am picking up a blu disposable at my local walgreens this afternoon,to try it out.

While thinking about electronic cigarettes i found myself looking into a kit,so far i like the look of smoketip/v2cigs.

So basically the reason i'm posting this is,what would the people here on this forum recommend to a beginner?

I'd like something has a lot of smoke(vapor?), and something that i can feel in my throat.

At the moment i am smoking pall mall red 100's around 10-14 a day and have been for 5-6 years.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I started on a smoketip as well and really liked it for my first. I think I paid something like 33 bucks shipped with shipping using a code I found somewhere. I actually liked it because the marlboro flavor tasted somewhat like a cigarette which is what got me off of the regulars for the most part. I know now that there are better kits on the market but for a first one it is the usual 808 type cart/battery connection and very easy to use. Quality was suspect though with their carts but I did have a battery go out and shipped it back to them for replacement. It was easy and really quick. I would get a Volt if I had known now from smokeless image. Quality is just plain better and you can get a basic starter kit very cheap there also.

I'd start out with something like the kgo KGO kit1100mAh by SLB or the epower kit E-Power 14650 The ego-t system is frustrating at best, the ego-c system is a little less frustrating but soon reaches that same level. I've had both of them, I use the c to test new flavors and the t I gave to my neighbor.

I also suggest a Kgo or something similiar. It will be a little bigger than a volt but has the ability to give you great throat hit. The Kgo will vape at higher wattage than the volt and also will have much longer battery life than the volt. Most people starting out feel they want/need a cig sized e-cigarette. Most normally just end up upgrading to something more powerful with more battery life in a short time.

The only problem i can see with the volt is they don't ship worldwide, i may be moving countries soon and i really don't want to spend $ on something that i may not be able to use in a few weeks.

what i really want is something that has i think what people call it a "throaty hit".

and the eGo-T looks quite good.

That "throaty hit" has a lot to do with the juice and the atomizer. A stronger juice, 18mg, 24mg, etc., will produce a stronger throat hit. As well, the atomizer used will also play a factor in it depending on it's voltage. Most e-cigs use 3.7v batteries, coupled with a normal atomizer will produce a good throat hit. Using a 3.7v battery with a low resistance atomizer will produce even better vapor, and much better throat hit.

Flavors are also a factor. Menthol's often produce the most throat hit, while fresh flavors, such as fruits and sweets, won't produce as much but the flavor will be fantastic.

Definitely weigh your options. My advice would be if you are a menthol smoker, start with menthol. If you are a regular smoker, start with a tobacco flavor, and buy low resistance atomizers for 3.7v batteries. It will make the process much easier and the results will be much more satisfying.

The only thing about the eGo-T that is frustrating to my wife is that sometimes the liquid in the tank doesn't always reach the atomizer, producing bad flavor. The reason she has this problem, however, is that she uses very thick juice. The thinner the juice you use, the easier it will flow. Otherwise I can't imagine what could be simpler than filling up the tank and sticking it in the atomizer, and vaping away.

Someone better step in here quick and recommend a Twist or a Provari before this thread gets totally off track!

Sorry anaxa - you can ignore what I just said.

lol yeah. I love my provari. Definitely not a beginners tool. At least try an e-cig first, then go for it!

I also recommend a KGO starter kit, but I like the clearomizer option better than the cartomizer. Like the one here http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?pag...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1033&category_id=31. I started with the Volt, which was good, but it had limitations. The KGO is an eGo clone, so it has type 510 connections, which will allow you to grow with it. You will be able to find cartomizers, clearomizers, and tanks for it easily. Go for the KGO with the 1100mah battery.

Yes the main reason for throat hit is the nicotine. A higher VG liquid will mute the nicotines throat hit to a degree, so more PG also helps. Another is the warmth (wattage) of the vape will intensify the nicotine's throat hit.

On a fully charged battery the Kgo put out about 3.8v and you can use about 1.6 ohm and up on it. 2.0ohm cartomizers are the best in my opinion on the Kgo. On the volt you can't use a 2.0 ohm cartomizer because the small battery can't handle it. Around 2.5 ohm is probably the lowest you could use so you will not get as warm of a vape (less throat hit) than a Kgo. If you can get past the slighty bigger size then get something more powerful.

It doesn't matter where you live. It's an 808 threading PV meaning you can buy 808 accessories and juice from any vendor. The Kgo is about the size of a sharpie and is a far superior PV. It's a 510 threading and accessories are readily available on all vendor sites.
Juice Components
Flavoring usually 10%
PG enhances throat hit, lung hit and flavor- water like
VG= vapor
Nicotine= throat hit, lung hit and our need for nicotine. Nic is the Most important in regards to TH and lung hit. I and many others believe PG is an irritant rather than giving TH.
Standard juice ratios are 70/ 30 or 80/ 20 PG/ VG. I vape 60/ 40.

The only problem i can see with the volt is they don't ship worldwide, i may be moving countries soon and i really don't want to spend $ on something that i may not be able to use in a few weeks.

say i go for the EGO-T

do these http://www.........../shopping/products/15-Prefilled-E-Cartridges/558-Eliq-Cart-for-Ego-T/

come pre-filled?

if so,what flavor strength/liquid base would you suggest for a first timer?

i think i will just wait till this afternoon till i get a blu, probably not a good product to base off of whether or not i will like E-Cigs,but its all i have around here to try.

If you really want to try something this afternoon, go to Walmart and get a Mistic starter pack. You can get one with a battery, three pre-filled cartomizers, and a USB charger for about $15. Much better than the Blu. And they sell refills of pre-filled cartomizers and additional batteries.

Then order a KGO. That seems to be what the majority of posters are recommending here.
