So about a week ago I quit smoking and dipping and decided to start vaping. I Found a Vapor123 E-Go for 30$ at my local Cox Smokers Outlet. I used it for a good 4 or so days, then I went and bought some new juices and a Total Vape tank from there as well. My wife wants to quit as well. At the moment she is using my old Blu ecig, and it's down to its last atomizer. I used it around a year or two ago, then just dropped it for good. I'm not interested in replacing the atomizer (we both dislike that ecig due to the constant refilling), so she is going to take my setup from me and I'm going to get another ego. Question is, what do I get? I'm looking for something that is cooler than what I have now, the hits are a little too hot (she likes it, I don't). I was looking at the Triton system, but I'm just overwhelmed. If it helps, I at least want a 650 battery and a 1.6ml tank system like I currently have.

Hello :) I don't have a Triton system. They're pretty, but I've heard that they have a proprietary threading. So other eGo stuff won't fit. My all time favorite eGo was a smok carpax 900 mah. Bought it in February at Madvapes for $17. It has outlasted some of my more expensive eGos. It has seen some serious use and abuse. Still holds a charge :)

Highly recommend this ego/stick batt style battery:

iTaste VV 3.0 - Variable Wattage Device - Pearl Chrome | Variable Voltage | MODS | iVAPE

Use coupon code "itastevv" for a 30% discount. The absolute, uncontested best stick style batt out there and smaller than an ego Twist or Spinner. Variable voltage, variable power, an LCD display, +/- buttons, an Ohm meter, ego and 510 threading, a puff counter, a usb/micro charger, pass through, etc. Best of the best for $35. To this device add EVODs and Kanger Protank. Need extra replaceable atomizer coils/heads. Add juice and ready to rock and roll. If you like I can give you a rundown on the available options. Good luck, happy shopping, Best to you!

Just make sure that when you buy Kanger, you buy real, genuine Kanger. There are sites that'd like you to think they're selling Kanger products when they're not. If I had a digi camera, I'd show you a knock-off T3S and compare it side by side to a real T3S... you'd be surprised.
I won't tell you where the fake came from in a public forum, but I will tell you that Mt. Baker Vapor carries real Kanger products, as do many other honorable vendors. Read the titles and descriptions carefully... so you don't waste your $$$ on crap.

I like that battery a LOT, but talking about EVODs and the Kanger Protank just added to the confusion. What is EVOD, is that a brand? Can I just get that battery and a Kanger Protank and be good to go.

EDIT: This is what I'm looking at so far:

You've got it completely dialed in Porky. The right stuff from the right places. The only thing is... there's a ProTank 2 that's out/coming out. Find that and you've really got it dialed in.

Yeah I saw the cheaper Kanger Evod tanks, but what's the difference? Is it just quality?

@Jazzi Mike: My 3rd link is the replacement heads, and I would chose the 2.5's
@1911builder: Thanks again, I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: Is it just me, or does it look like that cosmetic cone that comes with the protank wont work with that battery? Not a big deal, just an observation.

Ego's are good batteries. Go for a twist and a bottom coil clearomizer. The lower coil will cool the vapor more before you get it.
Also, if looking for a longer lasting mod/bat.. look at the itaste MPV. It is about the cost of 2 ego twists, well, if they are from joytech,, but it will last for 2 days without a charge. I have had mine for months and love it. It has more consistent voltage than a twist also, so my flavor remains the same all day.

Also, if your getting off of cigs and chew, you probably vape a lot right now. Get a larger tank style, like a vivi nova so you don't have to refill as often.

Enjoy the journey of finding new flavors. It can become a hobby of it's own.

I am vaping a ton right now, but I enjoy it. I have to charge my battery mid-evening to finish off the night, then I charge it again when I'm sleeping. I also Have 6 flavors at the moment, but 4 of them are about a year and a half old, and I bought them for my Blu. They just don't taste right so I don't use them.

You can get on a pre-order list at lots of places, but if you can find one for sale that isn't way over priced, you're doing better than me. $14-$16 would be a good price.

If you want to try it, you can get a great, small diameter (same as a ProTank) polypropylene, side-fill carto tank for real cheap from Valley View Vapes. If, on the other hand you want to keep it simple for now... I totally get it.

When you get 5 posts (I think that's what you need) PM me... I've got a bit of info to share.

Quality is just fine. I love my EVOD tanks. There are a lot of fan of this tank. Easy to change heads, easy to refill and great vap. Easy to rebuilt too when you want to do it. Cost of entry is low too, what else would you need? Get some back up at the same time.

I always say, you need to have back up to your back up.

Cheers

Yeah my big issue right now is pricing, but I want to do it right. I'm waiting for finances to straighten out from my wife losing her job, then I will probably get the protank (maybe the new one will be out by then?) and the iTaste VV 3.0

EDIT: @Uncle Willie: That is a good deal, but wouldn't shipping jack the cost up since it's coming from China?
