a CE3 is a clearomizer, its just a different kind of clearo, basically your juice delivery systems are

Atomizers (standard for dripping)
Cartomizers (for use in a tank or out of a tank)
Cartridges (similar to a carto but more for one time use or disposable)
Genesis atomizers (more like a tank and are used by advanced users as you need to rebuild them)

and there is more but i dont have the experiance to really tell you about them all... i use cartomizer tanks (7ml) that give me a solid all day vape and they give me the vapor production that i am happy with....

what is better? CE3's or Clearomizers
Thank you guys so much for the very helpful information ^__^

They pretty much use the same heating coil device and string wicks for delivering the juice to the atomizer. The main difference is the size and juice capacity. Ce3's hold roughly 1ml of liquid where clearo's can hold between 1.5ml to 3ml depending upon the model. Some people will undoubtedly swear one is better than the other.

I personally use the ce3's to test new juice flavors because I don't need more than 1ml to decide if I like a flavor, and they are easy to empty, rinse, and refill.

Determining what "heavy" vaping is, is subjective to everyone's own description of the term. The mAh battery rating is a unit of measure of "average" battery duration under steady use. 100 mAh = 1 hour.

My guess is heavy vaping would give you numbers somewhat less than the average. That's the best I can do for you.

To help make your decision, try to envision how you will use your device.

Will overall length be a determining factor? Remember, once you add a juice delivery device on top, the unit is going to be even longer. This may affect your willingness or not to use it in public, or how it may fit into a pocket. The 1300 is longer than the 900 by perhaps 3/4 of an inch.

If you are going to be using the unit primarily at home, then the length is likely not to be a factor at all, but overall battery duration may be. Average battery use difference is 4 hours between the two. 9 hours vs 1300 hours.

Maybe get both a 650 mAh AND a 1300 mAh. Best of both worlds. I will offer this from my own experience. When away from home, I prefer shorter and lighter devices. When at home, it doesn't really matter.

I stared with the Volt line from Smokeless Image. I sit at a desk all day for work so I have no issues as far as charging. I like the basic volt kit because they are similar in size to an analog and it's not too conspicuous when I take my smoke breaks or out in public. However for home and all day outings like a festival or long shopping trips I purchased an x2 and a lanyard. I'm a total newbie and get easily confused when it comes to what fits who, with SI everything is plainly labeled on their site so you don't have to question if the clearos/cartos you are looking at will fit the battery.

I started with 4 78mm volts and a 1300 mAh X2. I quickly found that I preferred the 1300 X2. My next purchase was 2 650 mAh X2's for out and about (not that much larger than the 78's but with longer battery life) and ended up loaning out the 78's to friends and family to try out. I still have those 650's around some place, but since I discovered mods there is no comparison in which I prefer to use now.

If I like the X2 setup, I may eventually get a provari or something different. I'm new to all of this but I really do not care how much $$ I have to spend if it gets me away from analogs

I work on a pipeline/station and am in an office/car all day so I figure it will be mainly used indoors while occasionally using it in public.. I just need to figure out what to tell people when they give me strange and awkward looks. >.<

That is exactly the route that I took. Started with Smokeless Image, got my first mods from Altsmoke, and then got the Provari. I couldn't be happier. It took finding a couple of good cartomizer brands and cartotanks, too. I've found my sweet spot.

I just need to figure out what to tell people when they give me strange and awkward looks.

When people look at you strangely when you vape (and you'll find most strangers will just ignore you), just nod and smile at them. If you feel the need to explain, just say this device makes water vapor with nicotine in it, and it has kept me off of cigarettes for XXXX amount of time. Some people may understand if you call it an electronic cigarette, but I'm growing weary of that name, myself. It's really not a cigarette at all, and I kind of dislike any association between the two.

I've always loved the good humored exchange of information on this clip from the David Letterman Show about "electronic cigarettes":
