Seems $10 express shipping is a thing of the past. Just a year ago almost every vendor had that as an option (over $50 purchase). Now most are $15 or more for some vendors. Did CP increase their rates? Tack on 13% sales tax and online purchases get a little expensive. Guess i can only wait for the day when vaping goes mainstream and i can walk to the store for a bottle of my ADV. vape on people!

Just a couple of years ago there were not many online vendors in Canada. Gear and ejuice was pricey, but shipping was reasonable. Now vendor sites have at least tripled, and growing. This is a good thing. The more the merrier i say! Long live the free market society! I would like to think CP is milking them, but possible i spose. Anyone heard of CP price hikes?

shipping is based on size AND weight. either factor will increase the cost.
shipping with expedited service within the greater toronto area is $9-10 for a package sized 6x10x2" and weighing ~300g. the same package shipped to BC would cost around $14 by expedited. it would cost a few dollars more for xpresspost.

vendors always take a loss on shipping, 98% of time, i know this because we use cp shipping for the company I work for so all you should stop complaining and be happy you are getting anything because Canadapost is the worst postal service in the world by far.expedited post is anywhere from $8.36 if within Montreal-- to $15-$20 dollars for rural western locations.Xpresspost is anywhere from $10-$35 regardless of where it is going, these are all for parcels that are under 1kg with 24x15x2 or 27x11x11 ..FACT.you can always go to you corner store and buy cigarettes if you do not like shipping costs.

Actually, the more a vendor ships, the better the rates they can get. Canada Post commercial contract rates are based on the number of parcels shipped per year.

And if you use express post you can buy in packs of 10 to get a discount. The difference is that Canada Post started limiting weights on their xpresspost envelopes and that some companies started administrating a handling charge. In conjunction it may seem like a big boost in shipping, but it's not really.

If you consider that they have to have somewhere to store their stock, someone has to go get your order from that stock and then ship it properly... If it's over 1 kg they have to pay excess shipping on top of the rate they bought the xpresspost for. It makes sense when broken down, but looks like a lot to a person who never ships anything.

Edit: And the contractor rates aren't that good, when you look at the yearly fee involved.
