Before dinner (my wife made pork medallions, hot water corn bread, greens and black eyed peas!!) I was watching Ancient Aliens on the History Channel because I like real history and flying saucers.

Sitting here after dinner I'm watching Celebrity Ghost Stories on the Biography Channel because I like real history and ghosts.

I heard somewhere, I think on a litle sign up at the Coffee Shop, that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. So I watch these educational channels so I can learn more about things.

That's why I'm smart.

I've not seen that movie and just added it to our queue. I just looked at our history and these are a few of my favorites:

The Island on Bird Street
Starting Out in the Evening
The Kite Runner
Lust, Caution
Rabbit-Proof Fence

I haven't seen all of those... but I agree with Vaporgal about "Kite runner" and "rabbit-proof fence" both very good movies! :)

The Rope, James Stewart, 1948, a typical Hitchcock movie that I rated 3.

I watch movies all the time (when it's not tax season) and usually prefer foreign movies (yes, I love reading subtitles). I could list a ton of great movies (both foreign and American), but many of them probably aren't available on Instant Watch.

I rated Rabbit-Proof Fence 5, Kite Runner 3, and haven't watched the other three listed by vaporfalinfla yet, but I have them in my DVD cabinet (with about 4,000 other DVDs).

Here are a couple that I can think of off the top of my head:

Fear and Trembling (2003)
Jean de Florette / Manon of the Spring (1986)

The Dinner Game

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

I've probably seen more of your list than this one, but these 2 stood out. The Dinner Game was hilarious, but the people who subtitled it got carried away with the profanity IMO (not for kids to watch). The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was very good as well, but I'd be concerned about kids watching that one as well. Sad and disturbing.

I don't know if you've ever seen it (I don't think that it made it into the "mainstream" theaters) was a movie called "The Gods Must Be Crazy!" Don't let the "national geographic" format fool you. The movie is "pee in your pants" funny.

Oh yes. The Boy in Striped Pajamas. GOOD MOVIE. Even if it did leave my weepy for two hours after it was over.

I saw The Gods must be Crazy ages ago, it was seriously funny. Thanks for reminding me about that! Time to update my list on Netflix.

Netflix streaming has done nothing but get better. There is so much to choose from!

Yep, I also watched Arn a few nights ago and liked it. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary try The Last Rites of Ransom Pride. Not an ordinary movie by all means. Reminded me of the Kill Bill series. It's a movie you'll want to watch again to make sure you didn't miss anything the first time around.
