Let me preface my comments with the assurance that what I have to say is not a slam at you in any way.
Rather, your post simply brought to the fore an aspect of the e-cig world that has continually made me wonder if I should laugh or cry.

That aspect is the entire who knows who/he said, she said/video review "business" model taken entirely too seriously by entirely too many people.

Video reviews can be helpful, I guess. There are enough of them out there something must be driving the ongoing creation. As a media format that allows an end user to see a given devices components it may be a bit better than still photos, I suppose.

Overall though, as a vehicle for reviews, I don't watch them except when I'm bored or feeling down and I'm looking for a cheap way to feel better about myself. Written reviews with a couple of intelligent photos and specifications are what I give weight to.

I've never made a purchase decision from a review video.
I have made a few purchases based on video tutorials, but the video review segment of this industry, phhtt. What a waste of bandwidth.

A "popular" video review personality commented that ECF is ridiculous? OK, I give, ya got my attention so I looked at the video to see for myself.

After chuckling through 4 minutes and 3 seconds of ????, I feel better about myself. :D

Was that snarky? meh...

As far as "ridiculous", I have to laugh. Especially when I come across one of his posts in this "ridiculous" forum.

No matter where I see it, I ALWAYS get a chuckle when I hear someone discredit ECF then come over here and post. Afterall, we don't make people come here. You'd think if we were so (fill in the blank), they just wouldn't bother.

Ah well, I guess everyone has to get their jollies somehow :D

Having watched this Video myself(Twice actually),and being a member of this forum as long as GG(No pun intended),I have mixed thoughts. GG has produced some very informative PV(and e-liquid)reviews in recent months. Some of those he mentioned(leaford,Igetcha ect.)have fallen of the map somewhat in video review world.GG has just stepped in where they left off IMO.As mentioned by others on this thread...I do not make purchases based on video reviews...but I do appreciate the time and effort that goes in to producing them for those who may be just starting off. As for the reference to ECF being ridiculous.....Not sure where that is coming from?...Rules and regulations?...Possibly! I have been a part of this "Ridiculous" forum for almost a year now, have made some great friends....Some who are still here...and some whom have sailed away! As long as they are happy where they park thier boats...I am happy too. I hope GG continies to post his videos here at ECF(I still enjoy watching them).......I consider ridicule flattery myself!

I guess I'm old school. I prefer reviews in writting. I can quickly skip over the non-essential ramblings and get to the ya or nay part and the reasons behind person's conclusions
This is especially so when it comes to a how-to-do. I'd rather use step-by-step instructions with diagrams or pictures.
I don't want to sit through five minutes of someone trying to find the correct screwdriver, or listen to why they think the world is going to end in 2012.
I will admit sometimes watching a video is better and for those who make the direct to-the-point videos, I thank you

I think video reviews are more about the ego of the reviewer than providing useful info. I mean, many times the review can't form a complete sentence with using "uh" a couple of times per thought.

A well crafted, written review is infinitely more valuable.
