Screen issues were a black eye, I agree. But the TC worked perfectly from day one. Yes, people .....ed about having to build with annealed nickel 200 and some atomizers had too much static resistance, but it doesn't mean the tech didn't work. BTW, the "nickel is too soft" build problem is easily solved with tempered Ni200.

And I agree that more power does not equal high-tech. As Brandon from Evolv said "The Darwin was a 20W mod, but we scaled it back to 12 watts because we didn't figure anyone would use 20 watts." (Remember this was back in 2010-2011). As he said, increasing watts is easy.

Love them or hate them, Evolv has pretty much set the pace of regulated vaping. They were the first with VW (patented it in fact) and were the first with temp limiting. And now it looks like they have quite a few firsts with the dna-200.

Pretty sure the China chips have been better with the TC gimmick than Evolv; at least from what I have been reading on here...

My provari did break.

The board failed.

In under 2 weeks.

And I had to pay for shipping, tracking and insurance to send it to provape for repair.

And after a lengthy email interrogation, I still had to include my atty and battery in the box so I can prove once again I'm not stupid.

After donating over $400 to provape for products I don't use because they're unsatisfying.

This debate is hilarious.

Sales will be the final deciding factor.

"Gimmick?" If avoiding dry hits and reducing my exposure to carcinogens is a "gimmick" then I guess I am prone to fall for gimmicks. You go ahead and vape at your 600F with tons of aldehydes and I'll vape at my 450F.

I only have one thing to say to that...... :pervy: You are a worse klutz than I am
Although, I have broke two...or three. ProVape repaired with no charge. I did have to spring for shipping back to them but hey.... It was worth it. To me.

No klutz about it my dear lady.

The board and display failed.

Fantastic product and company if it fits your needs.

But infallible as it/they is/are made out to be is impossible and incomprehensible.

I went into a local vape shop next to my house and saw Provari P3's in the clearance case for $89.99. I asked what was up with that and they said they are going to stop carrying provape's stuff.

So, let me get this straight.

You're choice of topic title is "what happened to provape"

And then you go on to tell a story about some local vape shop where they don't have any sense and are going to discontinue anything not selling hot to their hipster cloud chasers.

Not sure that means anything is wrong with provape, so confused as to your title????

Should be reworded to dumb-a local vape store LOL

I just know that it suits my style of vaping perfectly. I like the simplicity of the device. It is a no brainer for me to use.

*kisses* Don't wanna fight :)

No fight.

I'm happy for you.

It is nice when we find "that one".

Actually wish I had someone to PIF mine to. Great products indeed. Just don't want to have to buy more items to PIF one so they'll use it.

Have you tried the PIF Forum? That way you don't have to add stuff and someone gets a lovely device.

great idea ... I would love to hear the honest review from whoever was lucky enough to receive one as a first time Provari user.

I will never forget my first real experience comparing it to my eVic ... I was totally convinced they would vape the same

It really is the ProVape chip and those Aerospace guys who work at ProVape

You must not know Stevegmu very well or have EVEr read his posts.

He vapes a provari and a provape-1. HARDLY high temp high watt.

I have no idea why temp control is needed when the user can control their vape just using what we always have....i.e. ohms of delivery device + volts of battery.

I have a perfect vape every day, every hit.....I like a nice, mellow kinda "cool" vape....using old school stuff. Why would I ever get a dry hit? I don't. I keep my delivery device wicks wet, keep my ohms dialed to what my volts are. (using 4th grade math).

Adn by the way, I'm not even a Provari owner. :) Just have tried them and find it to be a solid, dependable device
