No, this was actually a fairly moderate discussion of the relative merits of a P'vari, compared to other mods. I totally get why some would value its longevity, and hence value, it's just not for me, in this instance -- for me, a good bit of the fun of vaping is the occasional indulgence of shinyitis. I not only don't mind buying 3-5 new mods every year, I *enjoy* it! If that makes me a collector, so be it -- the only "mod" I've ever bought that actually "broke" was a knock-off ego -- for $10, I learned why "knock-offs" are a bad idea. ;) So, since then, the only "clone" mod I've bought was the Fallen Angel, but I've seen some discussion that the Ehpro Fallen Angel's quality is actually better than the original Electric Angel -- the newer models might be better, I dunno.

I mainly stick to Innokin, and would probably also be happy with Sigeleis, since my sigelei Zmax is top-notch, very high quality. I surrendered to eleaf when I got my iSticks, but I got the 30w ones, once I saw that the 20w's won't step down, and the 50's had more problems than you could shake a stick at. I got 2 iStick30's, but at roughly $30 each, if they last a year, I won't feel cheated. The CF4's are a little more, roughly $35-$40, but I think they'll probably last longer than the iSticks.

I also have a Vamo v2, for which I paid $17 -- and as it's now over a year old and still working very well, I certainly got my money's worth out of that one! :D

over the years of anti-provari arguments I found they are usually based on price and by those that don't mind buying 3-5 new cheap mods every year and that's ok if that is your thing. I personally like that I am still using my original provari I bought 4 years ago and it works just like the day I bought it. I have purchased the disposal (internal battery mods) for fun but if in a year from now regulations make it impossible to get open system gear or anything crazy like that and the disposables die I still have good reliable regulated mods that I feel will last me for many more years to come.

....and the clone EAs are just that, cheap imitations, IMHO, to the authentic EAs, I have had both.

I'm a Innokin fan boi myself. Super happy with there products.

Sigelei is also very good. My 100 Plus is a perfect mod.

Provari is nice also. I don't consider it anything special but I don't have any problems either.

It is a rule: non-Provari mods failure is much higher for Provari owners...
I do not have Provari, so all four of my mods are functioning properly for 1.5 years.
Most of my problems were pre provari. Maybe, just maybe that is why I bought one!! Then another, but only after saving money not buying others!!
And its not just my provari "love". I also have an ipv4, which I like, but will most likely break before either of my provari do.

How many units were produced of the Ti Stealth and how many days is "a few"? There are plenty of attys and mods that sell out in a matter of hours (sometimes minutes) so "a few days" is not all that impressive. Also, the Kabuki is irrelevant considering Provape has nothing to do with them other than making them available for sale on their site.

1000, maybe. The Stealth Kabuki is significant, as it only has P3/Classic threading. If ProVari weren't still so popular, they wouldn't have sold out of a proprietarily threaded clearo selling for $100...

My first mod after my ego was a Provari Mini.
It's simply a beautiful device. It's small, well made and works. Everytime.
I got into rebuildables and mech mods since then - but my Provari Mini is still on my table next to my cartos and Kayfun. If I need to go out to dinner - out comes the Mini. If something has gone wrong with my rda build and a I need to fly out the door - I can have a carto primed and vaping within 3 mins. When I'm on the road it comes with me for that purpose and also serves as my RTA mod for builds between 1.2-1.8ohms. For me, it's just as relevant as the day I bought it. Have my tastes expanded - yes. I'm in the market for two VW devices - one at around 60w and one at 100+. They will be my first VW purchases. I guess I'm a modwomper in that regard. After researching and researching - the thing about Provari is that their chip is accurate and you can vape it to its fullest output with no issues. If Provari came out with 50w device I'd be all over it in a heartbeat - even 30w would get me there. I'd love see them put out a new mod in the next bracket up in terms of wattage output. I'd love a 50w stealthy Provari - maybe a dual 18350 box mod style?

    Yes. Buttun tops.

I have every size battery but everything else in the world uses flattops. None of the local shops carry button tops. Only Utica and Syracuse have shops that sell Provari and those batteries.

I understand where you're coming from, really I do.

Every one of these has an AW IMR 18490 button top in it.

Sure is nice when you don't have to play battery roulette.

Possibly the best box mod is the wildly popular Reo, which only uses button top AW IMR batteries...

When I first started looking for a backup to my eVic ... there were only 2 mods with zero ECF threads about them having problems, the Reo and the Provari ... all the other devices had problem threads ... broken this broken that.

went with a used Provari :smokie:

I've actually found AW batteries to be so-so.

I have AW 18650's, from that same shop in the city, and they only fit in two of my mods. A telescoping mech and a Chana clone. Since I am a low watts user any battery suits me fine but I settled on the 25R before switching to Li-Po mods.

AW batteries give the same power but have very poor life. Legit 25R's can be had for 5 bucks and last nearly twice as long. My AW's have been put to service in mods with screw on backs for back up service. I think they would also fit in my Kbox as it has a huge spring that would compress but I've never tried.

I didn't use those batteries as my Provari only uses 350's and 490's. I had some 35-'s and 500's from the Kick days but they didn't fit. No place local sells button tops and I wanted to get the P=Thingie under power. So I threw a build in the STM, checked the watts on a normal mod to see what they was in volts and off to the city I went.

I don't think anyone here or anywhere ever said Provari's fall apart. They do however have a service department and I do hear of people sending theres back. So like Toyota's. Rarely need service rather then never. I drive a Chevy truck so I get a Christmas card from my garage.

Yeah, I wasn't very happy to find the batteries AW said were a 20A CDR to really be 15A batteries. So now I'm assuming the "18A" 18490s might only be 13A or less. Best batteries? Not in my opinion.

I'm not at all saying the are the worst but far from "best".

I will say that as I am careful what I buy they are the worst batteries I've personally owned. Not due to any danger or anything but poopy life.

Agree, not the worst, just the worst I've owned. And I'm not happy they exaggerated the specs.
