I would like to add a couple of thoughts to this thread.
Despite his commercial leanings, RT has made a lot of good educational material on coil builds, wicking etc. I'm not an RT fanboy, but when I first started using mechs and rebuilding he was an invaluable resource for me. And for that reason I have regard for him despite all the other nonsense. The subject of reviewer integrity has come up many times, but if someone suggests you buy something and you go out and buy it, then you have bigger problems to deal with. You take what you need in terms of information from the review, and leave the rest.
There's no doubt he crossed the line into blatant infomercial territory with that video, but I found it funny not insulting. He knew he'd messed up too because he took it down in less than an hour. Now people are queuing up to to tear strips off rips, or launch their own thing off his back, which I find far more distasteful than his video.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I'm asking myself what kind of situation has he got himself into financially where he felt he had to make video like that. Or was it simply greed. I'm leaning towards greed, but who knows.
