They held a lotto at my local university, and I won a degree in English. One of the most interesting required courses was an upper division attempt to help us "get over" all the rules. Go figure!

One thing for sure, neither Faulkner nor Hemingway would have passed Freshman Comp. And poetry is a grammar !

and i like using smilies!
so, if somebody is still looking at this thread i could use some help.
if i quote a previous post there are all kinds of smilies to the right of the box with the option of getting another page of them.
when i do NOT quote another post and use quick reply instead the box is bare, no smilies to be found and only about a quarter of the options to be found along the upper edge.
there has to be a way to expand but i have not found it, so

HELP, PLEASE!

At the bottom of the box for "quick reply" there is also a button for "go advanced". Advanced gives you the smilies options. If you're quoting, you are automatically taken to the advanced option

I just noticed last night that the puffing smiley is gone. Probably the best of the bunch as it signifies user puffing while typing-oh well.

but no matter how many moves, it could not compare to a dancing geoduck

The vaping one is lame... but used a lot now ;-)

Here's one I (and a friend) made in Photoshop from the 'smoking' one but without the stream smoke from the 'ecig' and an enhanced 'led'. You're welcome to it if you can change the source - my pbase gallery. If you edit animated gifs you could speed it up some - not like the one above though ;-)
