Wouldnt pay a cent over retail lols plus they will be available to buy in the next few weeks

well said mate well said ;)

not that i want to get embroiled in an argument but i think its wrong to charge over the odds, ive just sold 2 x UFS mk2 which were brand new and still in their bubble wrap unopened for the same price i paid but i could of asked a lot more.

keep the GG accessible to all i say :)

I detest these types of threads and their damned weekly occurence........:evil::evil:

Let's see you have been on here since June 2010...it is now March 2012 so that's about 21 months...or 86 weeks.
If they are on here weekly, that means they have showed up 86 times.
If I don't like something...I try not to go to it 86 times...and then complain about it :?::laugh:

Yes, but when people are new on here...they have no clue as to what is right or fair or reasonable to pay for the elated GG products. The more specific info there is on the subject the better a chance of finding one at a reasonable price.
Threads like these actually help determine what the average actual price is.

Now, that is not to say that having a GGTS and experiencing it's wonderful vaping capabilities is not a priceless experience:):)

There is no real average. If you look a few posts back, somebody is offering to pay a pretty good price for a #1 GGTS. To them? it's a passion to have that one and to have it quickly regardless of original value. There are GG Grants out there that are sort of a part of GG history. For the motivated collector? Will offer a very high dollar amount. A penny should be worth a penny.. an indian head penny goes for a rediculous amount. Same concept.

Like any other collectable, there are good reasons why some of these things are valuable. The impressive thing to me is that the customer base is so enthusiastic and the parts are so good that they keep on selling.

Huff,

You make some great and very valid points here. One of the problems then is that new people really need to watch and learn and not prematurely jump into any "what may seem high priced deals" until they are familiar with the history and collectabilty of the various models, revisions, serial number sequence and so on.
There is a definite learning curve...that I personally enjoy.
It would be easy to be "taken" if one bought without knowledge.
But, with that being said I know supply and demand certainly also influence price....so what a buyer is willing to pay is, in fact, what that product is worth. But as in all purchases "Let the buyer beware"

I think it sold for about 800 pounds which isnt cheap lol

if these was for the #1 its a shame because i would have pay the double or more , actually that was going to be my starting point , 1k.

If someone can confirm pls do :( and i will really like to knwo if theres a way to have direct contact of the current owner.

@PaulieD its true , some people just plain say "nah it doesnt worth it or i wont pay more than it cost" but is just that they dont understand the value of something ike these , for people like me (maybe you) the feeling of owning in these case a fine piece of vaping history holds more value than the money whe pay for it.
