Too true, NoizMaker, too true.

I still remember the name of the girl (smoker) I was trying to impress when I had my first death stick. That was over thirty years ago. She was about four years older than than me, but I naively thought I had a chance.

Tens of thousands of $'s later, after all the burn holes, health issues, and smelling like an ashtray, I'm now getting stares smoking my walkie-talkie. I love my walkie-talkie. That girl I started smoking for - not so much.

Thats how I started too!!!! waiting at the bus stop, first year of high-school. This cute chick smoked so I started then she ended up bumming smokes off me :( + she had a boyfriend already lol thats pretty sad when I think of it.

smokers buy a timmy's double double
vapers vape timmy's double double

I've been using the Drip Shield and haven't needed a napkin since.

Haha, thanks everyone. I love the new additions, those are also so true! After showing this thread to a smoker who has tried and liked vaping his response was "Wow, it really is much easier to just smoke, eh?" and the only reply I could muster was "Well yeah.. If you consider the possible Cancer you'd get down the road to be 'easier'..." It really reminded me why I am willing to go through all of this just to get a fix.

Love the list. LOL @ the glade plugin, aint that the truth when your vaping the good stuff.

I can say affirmative to pretty much everything there, even the illegal drug accusations (crackpipe!). That took about 9 months before that one got checked off the list.
I actually have people at work who smoke that come up to me when we're on break and say "oooo is that the raspberry one again today i like that smell". And my brother compared my clearomizer to a crack pipe the first time he saw me use it lol

This is the funniest thing I ever heard come out of your mouth Noiz! How bout this one, smoker's try to hide their smoking in designated area's such as their parents place, and go into the bathroom, sit on the floor and exhale into the toilet with the water running, as to not alert the parents, armed with a can of Glade, vapers sit on the couch with their pen style ecig vaping inconspicuously, by the stealth method, while telling their nephew it's a neat lil flashlight.

I vape anywhere and everywhere, discretely when in public but certainly not hiding in the washroom and at all my friends places that don't smoke non of them mind, but come to think of it I never asked :)

only places i won't vape conspicuously... in the office(during business hours at least) and in the movie theatre(a big cloud of "smoke" causes quite a stir and i just wanna watch my movie..)

otherwize i vape anywhere and everywhere... i don't blow it big and messy, but i don't blow it into my sleeve either... evenwhen i stealth vape i only hold it in for an extra half second and just blow it through slit lips down my front, hardly can tell its vapour.

As a smoker, I always felt as though I was "part of the crowd". In fact, most smokers took up the habit because it is very social to do so.

This may not be the case for everyone but I remember what it was like; "Hey man you got an extra smoke?" "Can I get a drag?" and the list of social situations goes on and on... But everything changes when you start vaping. Things are just different now and I am sure any other VapeVet will be able to tell a similar story.

I decided to make a short list of the main differences I have noticed between the two socially, because we all have had to notice this at some point or will in time. Hope you all enjoy it.

The Realities Of Vaping vs. Smoking

Smokers count the seconds until their next fix
Vapers count the number of people who ask "What the H&LL is that thing?" while they get their fix

Smokers have a pack of cigarettes and a lighter on the go
Vapers have a PCC, A bottle of juice, extra eGo batteries, extra atties/ cartos, and a kleenex on the go

Smokers have a smoking section
Vapers declare everywhere their "Vaping Section"

Smokers reek like an ashtray
Vapers are like a portable Glade Plugin

Smokers have yellow fingers
Vapers have greasy fingers

Smokers have burn holes in their shirt
Vapers have wet stains all over their shirt

Smokers are treated with disdain from non-smokers
Vapers are accused of smoking illegal drugs

Smokers Pick a "brand" and stay with it
Vapers pick a manufacturer and stay with it

Smokers say, "I am a smoker"
Vapers say, "I am a dripper/ dipper/ carto user"

Smokers worry about the prices going up
Vapers worry about Customs

Smokers worry if their pack will last the day
Vapers always want more mAh

Smokers are proud of their new Zippo
Vapers are proud of their new device for the first week, but already have their eye on that new one that isn't even out yet

Smokers know cigarettes are bad but don't care
Vapers know vaping is better for them but still question the health effects

Smokers have a cigarette after sex
Vapers sound like they are having sex 24x7 (eg. "I removed the .... plug, dripped a little into the cap and used the 'condom fill' method").

Smokers might say "I smoke players light smooth"
Vapers might say "I vape 24mg Dekang Play Hers Right in VG base with a Cisco 306 on a 1000 mAh eGo battery"

If you can think of any more they are all welcome  No need to be a veteran here or not. How did vaping change your social life?

Every 3 months or do we get a new batch - Reminds me of...
