I'm pretty sure it's the brand of nicotine they use! Quite frankly if i order 3 juices from a vendor and don't like any of them I won't re-order. There are so many vendors out there there's really no need to 'persevere' with eliquid imo. I've had great ones and less great ones and just plain funky ones. I'll sometimes give the less great ones a second chance, but the funky or flavorless ones get struck off my list:p

Speaking of nasty flavors......what is it when you get that peppery flavor?

I have had quite a few with that problem and after a month long steep it disappeared in a couple of them, but in others it seems it may never go away.

What causes that peppery taste?

Seems like EC Blends has an abundance of this. Part of the reason I have only 3 juices I order from them.

Not the only reason though, quite a few I got from them were totally unvapeable.

While I am sure they have other good flavors, I just can't afford to wade thru the bad ones to find the good.

Also, their steep times are long.

Usually 2-3 months.

So anyone know what the peppery flavor is?

Cindy

I found some vendors juices always arriving with what I describe as a smell/taste of alcohol/chemicals/perfume. Hated it.
Mostly, it was worse with Vanilla's and tobacco's.
I'd take the tip off, and "open air steep" those. Close, shake, open, repeat. For a few days.
And sometimes, it would get substantially better after a few days of that, or just sitting for a few weeks. Sometimes, it just faded a bit, and went on my "dont' re-order" list. lol.
And it DOES seem some vendors have it worse than others - probably just due to the flavorings they use.

Just something I noticed today because I've actually been vaping on the Fufu Juice is that when I first start vaping it doesn't have the nasty taste but after I've been vaping for a little bit it starts to have that taste. I think someone had asked or said something about what I was using or the voltage but I've experimented with all different voltages/wattages and it seems to happen no matter what.

So is it when the juice gets hot? Very very strange. But in the beginning for the first 5 vapes or so it tastes fine & thats using an iclear 16.

There are vendors I deal with who ship juice that is great right out of the mail box, but they get $9 for 16ml. Dekang at $10.99 for 50ml is a much better deal, especially when the flavor is there when you get it. It's just been lately that I'm not getting the same flavor I used to. Something has changed. Dekang RY4 used to be really special. Not so lately.

So, I'm trying the open bottle steep. Now, to find something to vape while I wait ...

I'm newish to the forum and have been vaping for 4.5 months. I agree with steeping. I keep a stockpile of 100-200 mL that I like on hand at all times do that when I do order new juice, it's nothing to air them out a fee days in my dark juice drawer and then cap them and them reach their full potential. Since I've been doing this, my favorites have become amazing to me as well. I pay good money for my juices and get excited for sales where I get 3x30 mL for $25.

I just read Dekang prices on wow! Do they have any really tasty juices that are fruity flavors? I don't care for coffees, tobaccos, nor menthol on my juices. Hopefully they've got a unique juice that contains none of the above.

You likely should disassemble the tank (or maybe take to a local B&M) and check that no seals are melting. You don't want to vape that stuff! I've experienced on a cheap clone where the wiring (from the coil) passed through. Look/smell for a nasty/stinky, black or brown liquid in this area i.e. bottom near the battery pin. Or maybe better, just try a new head (i.e. different brand) to see if it eliminates the issue. I bet yes... Good luck. BTW, I'm happy with the mini-PT 2's.
