What is the atomizer metal wool made out of?

Thanks for the help guys, i haven;t been on e cig forum much due to its huge growth!! things just aren;t the same anymore! Anyway, i have been working on big things! I'll let out the suprise when i have my first finished prototype! New atomizer here we come.

I have been looking at a very fine stainless steel mesh, what do you think?

Just need to check how well it wicks. Would be hard to beat the foam i think.

it just has to hold the liquid like a sponge.. its metal (steel) because it might get hot..

its also quite compressed but i think thats more to do with how its crammed in the steel atomizer tube..

its starts the process and feeds the heater coil.. the cart just keeps the wire wool topped up and wet.. if there is a weakness in the system its the liquid not passing from the cart wool to the wire wool very quickly..

and as the cart empties the whole lot gets dryer.. basically the heater coil is fed with less liquid from a half empty cart than full one..

this wont bother a light user overly much but it will bother a heavy user.. hence the need for top ups and dripping.. for some at least..

ps... i think folks over complicate these things.. they are very crude and very simple.. and as long as they are cheap enough to replace often work well enough..
