Hey all,

Names mackenzie, from Schenectady New York. Been vaping on and off for a couple years now. Never got to serious about it except for when I first started vaping almost 2 years ago now. My first to E-Cigs were automatics (cant remember the models off hand, they were purchased from electronicstix.com when he first started)

After that I went to the Titan 510. I used it for about 4 months straight, after a month quit analogs all together. At one point I did not keep up on having supplies and killed an atty and ran out of liquid. Ended up buying a pack and once in awhile would use it if it was charged.

Finally as of last week I decided to buy a nice new e-cig and really get into it. To be honest I find vaping much more enjoyable than analogs. I LOVE SMOKING err should I say vaping now? But its just to exspensive to buy a pack of marbs at 9.79 a pack here in NY, and when your smoking almost 2 packs a day, your start to loathe seeing your bank account

I always looked at Scott (Igetchya69)'s reviews as back when I started I threw around some e-mails with him and he pointed me to the 510

Man has it changed since I bought that 510, the ammount of companies.. differant "mods" etc, its kind of overwelming and has kind of got me to question my new E-Cig purchase.

On Monday I had received my Riva 901. I wasn't sure how I was going to like have a bigger device compared to the traditional Titan 510 but I must say I am in love with it, it feels great. The battery lasts me from 9am on my way to work, till about 8-9 at night and I'm CONSTANTLY vapeing on it. It prodeuces good vapor, and a nice throat hit.

My problem is the life of the cartridges and sometimes on how inconsistent the vapor can be. The first night I had it, it vaped great, into the next day it was fine. Then it seemed like sometimes I'd get a big vapor hit, othertimes it felt weak. I also found myself throwing a drip or two on the atomizer and into the cart every ~15-20 hits or so. Maybe its just my head but I feel like thats nothing to what I should be getting, if I pull the wad out its still pretty wet toward the end but it seems like its not feeding down like it should.

I ordered some LR 901 attys hoping that will help with the vapor and the throat hit, also a drip tip as I find myself Direct dripping more than just topping up the atty when i'm at home.

My question is was this a good e-cig to buy for me? Should I buy one with cartomizers, or is there 901 cartomizers? On Liberty-Flights.com where i bought my e-cig they sell cartomizers but they seem somewhat pricey, and the one they list for the 901 requires an adapter, although they list another that makes it sound like it fits without a problem.

I like the Megacarts the guy Iken(sp?) sells as they seem like they hold a lot of liquid, but they are all for the 510. Should I just buy a 901-510 adapter and buy those? He lists 901 Cartos on his site but they are out of stock unfortunately.

I just don't want to get in to deep with this riva 901 and have things start becomming unavailible for it as things seemed to have changed so much since my first vape.

I was also looking at possibly getting a high voltage device for home, but that seems like even more confusion and its very exspensive, i heard somewhere that passthroughs can be used with high voltage attys and thought maybe i'd try that since I'm at a computer 90% of the day for work and while I'm at home.

Anyways, if you read through this i appreciate it, i understand its a little long :p

Hi Shady195! I'm Nokisu. I've only been vaping for a couple of weeks now and quit analogs all at the same time. Vaping is much more enjoyable, and I find that I'm not coughing anymore, or wheezing due to my asthma.
As far as suggestions go, I am using the Joye eGo-T and absolutely love it! This is what my daughter started me out on. It's a manual 1000 battery with a tank system. It's very easy to use and the charge lasts a good 24 hrs or more and I am constantly vaping. When I do put it down for any length of time, I simply fast click it 5 times and it shuts the battery off to save the charge. I rarely do that tho. I have found also, that I enjoy all the flavors of e-juice, and don't much care for the tobacco flavors.
I do think that the tank system is the easiest to use and as long as I blow out the atty occasionally and rinse it, I have no trouble with any of them. I have 3 total units and 2 drip atty's for taste testing new flavors before committing to a full tank. A tank lasts me a couple of hours...I used to smoke nearly 3 packs of cigs a day and at $7 a pack, I thought that was a lot until you mentioned that you were paying almost $10 per pack, WOW!! Vaping is definitely cheaper in the long run, and you aren't getting the 4,000 nasty other chemicals either.
I can't tell you what you should get, only tell you my own experience and I hope that I've helped. Cignot.com is a very good company and ECF approved. They have fast, reliable and friendly service. That's the company I ordered from and I had my unit in 2 days! Good luck! :)

Do the eGo's use the 510 attys? I honestly wouldent mind just buying a new kit to save the hassle of buying adapters and having to screw/unscrew them etc when i want to charge.

Also do the tanks last longer than the cartomizers? Can you reuse tanks? I don't know much abotu them other than that they are a plastic "tank" that gets pierced by the atty.

Also the fact that you can turn off the eGO by clicking the switch 5 times really appeals to me as It'd be nice to just rhow it in my pocket and not have to worry about it at all. I Also see they have a PCC kit and thatd be great while im out and about to hold a small amount of liquid and carts/tanks

I am fairly new also and was looking for the same things as you. Right now I am using a 306 aty usb pt as I spend alot of time at the computer. The one I'm using is a 5v one fromElectronicStix through a outlet usb connector. I have also just ordered a Go-go from Cig Easy as it seems to be exactly what I'm looking for... Long battery over 24hrs and a 3ml cart. Check out this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/163146-ego-t-vs-go-go.html

Hope this helps...

eGos use 510 threading. Any 510/306 will fit on an eGo battery. To use a tank system, you need a tank-specific atty and cart. hth

A 901 to 510 adapter will be $0.99 well spent.
PV Adapters
You've got a 901 battery now, might as well be able to use it with a wider variety of cartos/attys. Even if you do get something else with 510 threading... still would be $0.99 well spent.

Yup... a lot has changed since you first looked 2 years ago, bigger batts, low-resistance (higher power) attys that the big batts are capable of driving, tanks, and LR cartomizers and mega cartomizers, and 6v vaping, VV vaping, and ...

I'm an LR atty user (dripping 2 ohm 801s, i have an adapter for that, is my favorite), but I'm under the impression that LR cartomizers have come of age now and have been meaning to sample of of the more popular 2 ohm cartos out there...
- Boge 2ohm cartos seem high on the popularity list
- IkenVape LR cartos get good reviews too
I'm skeptical of these 2 coils-in-parallel cartos that I see here and there? Seems like you've got twice the chance of popping a coil and ending up with a high resistance carto that wouldn't work well.

If you get a pass through, DON'T plug it into your computer. Could easily damage the computer, plus you won't get true 5 volt vaping that way. You will need a 5 volt/2 amp USB to AC adapter. It would be easier to get a good 5 volt PV such as the GLV2 or better yet, get a good variable volt PV. No adapter or cord needed with a good better battery PV.

well, I can tell you my experience and the way I want to vape, which is as hassle free as possible and the most close simulation to analogs as possible.

I love 510's also but!... battery problem becomes an issue fast!, so after a few 510 batteries, I decided to change to eGo (Inferno, Riva) there's tons of them.

At first I didn't want to buy it, because I didn't want to have a big-dildo-looking-thing in my mouth wile people stare at me or at work, so... I said, well I just buy one 1000mah battery and XL Clearomizers and use it wen I'm home only.... WRONG!!!... I am hook on this thing!

I have completely forgot about 510's , they are in the past now, but I would love for manufacturers to concentrate on making the batteries smaller overtime though.

My set up now consistst of:

Inferno 1000mah (eGo T - 510 Threads) from Volcanoecigs.com/Healthcabin.com
XL Clearomizers 1.1ml
(New) 510 Cartridge Tanks from Healthcabin.com/Volcanoecigs.com
(New) 510 Tank Atomizers Healthcabin.com/Volcanoecigs.com

Nothing more!, simple set up, hassle free, easy refill....and if hardware fails, BOTH companies are SUPERIOR in my opinion for RMA/COSTUMER SERVICE.

Thanks a lot guys! Looks like my next purchase will be a 901-510 adapter, and the 1000mAh ego batteries are really appealing to me, so I think I may just buya an eGo-t kit as well and if anything just swap around with them for now. Eventualy i'd like to get a big guy for home like a silver bullet or something of the sort, but that seems overly complicated to me at the moment
