Hey all,
Names mackenzie, from Schenectady New York. Been vaping on and off for a couple years now. Never got to serious about it except for when I first started vaping almost 2 years ago now. My first to E-Cigs were automatics (cant remember the models off hand, they were purchased from electronicstix.com when he first started)
After that I went to the Titan 510. I used it for about 4 months straight, after a month quit analogs all together. At one point I did not keep up on having supplies and killed an atty and ran out of liquid. Ended up buying a pack and once in awhile would use it if it was charged.
Finally as of last week I decided to buy a nice new e-cig and really get into it. To be honest I find vaping much more enjoyable than analogs. I LOVE SMOKING err should I say vaping now? But its just to exspensive to buy a pack of marbs at 9.79 a pack here in NY, and when your smoking almost 2 packs a day, your start to loathe seeing your bank account
I always looked at Scott (Igetchya69)'s reviews as back when I started I threw around some e-mails with him and he pointed me to the 510
Man has it changed since I bought that 510, the ammount of companies.. differant "mods" etc, its kind of overwelming and has kind of got me to question my new E-Cig purchase.
On Monday I had received my Riva 901. I wasn't sure how I was going to like have a bigger device compared to the traditional Titan 510 but I must say I am in love with it, it feels great. The battery lasts me from 9am on my way to work, till about 8-9 at night and I'm CONSTANTLY vapeing on it. It prodeuces good vapor, and a nice throat hit.
My problem is the life of the cartridges and sometimes on how inconsistent the vapor can be. The first night I had it, it vaped great, into the next day it was fine. Then it seemed like sometimes I'd get a big vapor hit, othertimes it felt weak. I also found myself throwing a drip or two on the atomizer and into the cart every ~15-20 hits or so. Maybe its just my head but I feel like thats nothing to what I should be getting, if I pull the wad out its still pretty wet toward the end but it seems like its not feeding down like it should.
I ordered some LR 901 attys hoping that will help with the vapor and the throat hit, also a drip tip as I find myself Direct dripping more than just topping up the atty when i'm at home.
My question is was this a good e-cig to buy for me? Should I buy one with cartomizers, or is there 901 cartomizers? On Liberty-Flights.com where i bought my e-cig they sell cartomizers but they seem somewhat pricey, and the one they list for the 901 requires an adapter, although they list another that makes it sound like it fits without a problem.
I like the Megacarts the guy Iken(sp?) sells as they seem like they hold a lot of liquid, but they are all for the 510. Should I just buy a 901-510 adapter and buy those? He lists 901 Cartos on his site but they are out of stock unfortunately.
I just don't want to get in to deep with this riva 901 and have things start becomming unavailible for it as things seemed to have changed so much since my first vape.
I was also looking at possibly getting a high voltage device for home, but that seems like even more confusion and its very exspensive, i heard somewhere that passthroughs can be used with high voltage attys and thought maybe i'd try that since I'm at a computer 90% of the day for work and while I'm at home.
Anyways, if you read through this i appreciate it, i understand its a little long
