What is the difference between a rebuilt Protank and a Taifun?

Well, more specifically a Protank mini V2 and a Taifun GS. Now that may sound like an asinine question, however, like I said I rebuild my protank heads/coils. To me it seems like the concept is exactly the same: A rebuilt tank system. So, are the flavor and vapor really that drastically different? Should I save my money and stick with my mini Protank or bite the bullet and get a better, so called, "vaping experience" with the Taifun GS?

You are simply refreshing a Tiny wick coil in a Tiny head, no matter what build method you use. The Taifun and Most other true rebuildable Tanks are much more sophisticated and allow a end result magnitudes better.
I just condensed a Kayfun Lite into a Nano - roughly 1.5 Ml volume. Still it is producing several times better than my rebuilt ProtankII's with upgraded AFC.

I don't have, nor have I used a taifun, so I can't answer that specifically.

However, I can tell you the difference between rebuilding a pro tank 1/2 , and rebuilding my kayfun clone are NIGHT and DAY.

First of all, there are many aspects of a delivery device that affect the vape. The air holes, the drip tips/the air hole that the drip tip connects to.

As far as the coils themselves go.... I always rebuilt my pro tanks/evods with 32g kanthal. There isn't much room inside of the tank to use 28g kanthal, at least for me. I know it can be done, but I found rebuilding the kayfun to be FAR easier. Since I can use 28g kanthal in my kayfun, I get a MUCH, MUCH better vape quality.

The pro tanks themselves are unique, in that technically they are a combination of clearomizer, tank, and Rebuildable.

I've spent lots of time rebuilding the pro tank 1 and 2, and now the kayfun. The vape quality is SOOOOOOO different. I prefer the kayfun by far.

I think he is referring to the Taifun GT... and I agree that the concept is exactly the same.... bottom feed with horizontal coils but also agree that there a lot of other factors to consider: the airflow, the size and shape of the chamber... IMO I like how the aerotank performs, it has the airflow controller which definitely is a plus, the chamber is also quite bigger than the previous protanks but the Taifuns simply performs better, the chamber is quite bigger and different shape, you have more space to play with the coils, Etc... This is pure R&D work on the Taifun to find the exact combination of sizes to get the right vape... one Thumb down is the lack of a good airflow control on the Taifun but the majority find that they nailed it on this one. Also a more similar system to the Taifun GT is the Fogger.... but performance is not comparable with the Taifun.. R&D and Trial and Error play a lot on getting a good system work right.. that's why China do clones and don't try to create one of their own because is not that simple (the fogger is a good example of this)

The Taifun GS wicks down to the coil the silica is set thru the bottom side of the tank section and the juice wicks down into the coil on the deck, totally different than the Protank.

More juice capacity, better wicking, better flavor, made for rebuilding, larger build platform, better vape. They ain't in the same category. Tis like comparing a sled to skis. They both get you down a snowy slope, but... All I'm saying is that you are wasting you building skills on a PT. Sure you can rebuild them, but that doesn't make it an rba. Tis the same difference between a moped and a roadstar Warrior with a Big Bore kit, raised cams, port and polished, with an after market pipe and dynojet.
