I was watching a video on the Go Go and it has 4.3 volts off the charger. The ego that I purchased is at 3.4 volts off the charger. Does the taste of the juice get stronger the higher the voltage? Is there a so called sweet spot of 4.4 volts to get optimum flavour and vapour? Is there even a unit that is 4.4 volts?

I have been very happy with the ego with a 510 atty. Sometimes i do notice the juice has very little taste, is that an indication the battery voltage is below 3 volts? I get great vapour production with my ego and it more then takes care of my cigarettes cravings. I was just wondering about this sweet spot and higher the volts the better the taste.

I'm no expert on this but from what I understand, it is more about watts. Watts=Volt*Volt/ohm so a 4.3 volt device using a 2 ohm atty would have the same watts as a 3.7 volt device with a 1.5 ohm atty. I don't think there is any general sweet spot, it just all depends on personal preferance and also what kind of juice you are using, some flavors will shine at lower watts, others need more heat/power, which is why PV's like the provari where you can dial up or down the volts is so popular. If you are curious about a higher volt device, try out a few different LR atties first to see if it is what you are looking for. Anyone feel free to correct me if any of this is wrong!

Great advice. I've been using a VV for several months and to me it makes a huge difference. A little bump in power, up or down, makes a big difference in how the eliquid reacts. With a set voltage device you are stuck with whatever power it puts out.
I like the new VV devices with an adjustment wheel. Much easier to use. These days I hardly ever check the numbers and just go by feel.

The wattage is what makes a difference in vapor and flavor produced. This chart shows many common combinations: http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/469/wattage.png

The 510, ego / riva are mostly 3.2v under load, (that's the more accurate measure of voltage)
a KR808, go-go, some mods are 3.7v under load, and then there are mods that produce
5v, 6,v 7,4v or variable voltage. Regardless of voltage used the resistance of your atty or carto will make a huge difference in the wattage produced. Find what wattage tastes best, produces the most vapor for you and your juice. Then get the combination that gives you that wattage.

This is where it gets confusing. One person says 4.4 volts is the sweet spot, another not so much. I dont want to go and buy every e-cig looking for my proverbial sweet spot. Maybe I will try that unit where you can dial your voltage. The Go Go is supose to reach that "sweet spot" Thats why I was asking.

There is no set sweet spot standard. It is an individual preference. That is why a VV is a no-brainer in my book. They range in price from $80 ($100 for the kit) to $300. I don't think you are taking much of a chance because if you don't like it you can sell it pretty fast on the ECF classifieds. If you want a recommendation PM me. I own two from different companies and love them both.

If there was one juice and one unit that worked for everyone, this forum wouldn't exist. Everyones tastes are different, you just have to find what works for you. Don't get wrapped up in other people's perception of perfection. Your sweet spot probably won't be the same as mine. A combination of juices and atties fulfills my sweet spot, not just one juice on one set-up. I found that if I vape the same flavor continueously, the flavor kind of gets lost, which is why I drip a different flavors in rotation. When I crave an analog, I drip a 18mg strong tobacco flavor on a LR 306 atty, when I sit at the computer, I will drip a combination of several different 6mg fruit/tobacco flavors. Sometimes a DIY juice will be perfect at 15% flavor, but depending on my mood, I enjoy a more subtle vape at 5%. I guess my sweet spot is variety, lol.

I think alot of us go through a stage where we feel the need to try EVERYTHING that is out there, and being on this forum every day probably doesn't help. After spending countless hours researching what all is out there and what I should buy next, I have found that I just need to take a step back and enjoy what I have. You don't need to go out and try every PV that is out there, you said that you were very happy with your 510 atty on an eGo battery. Luckily the eGo battery is very versatile and there is so many different ways to use it. Different atties/cartos on your eGo battery will offer much different experiences, without costing you a fortune. Once you know exactly what you are looking for in a PV, then you will know what will best accommodate your "sweet spot" for your next PV purchase.

you could go to the GTA meet tomorrow and check out some mods, atomizers, juice and other stuff. Personally took me a while to find the set up that worked best for me. The eGo is great but there are other things better IMHO. I am more about flavour these days. I find one of the things that makes the biggest difference or me is a good atomizer.
