What's the dumbest thing I've done in my vaping career? Posting on certain threads.......
I've posted on the same one's. Sad but true!

My dumbest vaping adventure, trying to vape from a stainless drip tip when the outside temperature was a -18 F. The worst part, it was an Iclear 30 so the tip was screwed on and when I yanked it back from the instant freeze burn it took 3 layers of skin with it.

Almost don't even want to post this it's so stupid. When I first started vaping & literally had no idea what I was doing, I ripped out all the wicks from my kanger coils & threw them out because I thought it was just packaging/stuffing (?!) I don't even... (Face palm)

I'm sorry, this is just too damn funny!!!!!!!!

Well, the first time I ever filled my Evod, I was extremely careful. I wanted to do it right. I made sure the filling tip was perfectly...centered. In the chimney tube. Needless to say, my toes were covered in about 5ml of juice.

Okay as I read that I am reminded why I don't drink my Starbucks while reading these threads, you now owe me another new keyboard......JK but that's some funny ****

Tales from a noobs first day vaping.

Went to my BM bought an MVP that came with an iclear 16 and bought a Protank 1. The cute emo girl at the BM filled both for me and sent me on my merry way. Ran out of iclear first and unscrewed the top and refilled. Simple.

Next day ran out of the Protank and tried to unscrew the top to fill it back up. Damn thing was stubborn though, but clearly not as stubborn as me. Ashamed this 90 pound girl's hand tight was tighter than my hand tight, I grabbed some locking pliers and a vise and went to town. Needless to say I broke the crap out of it. Realizing this was not a job for duct tape I went back to the BM.

Same flannel-clad, heavily eye-shadowed vapestress was there. Embarrassed, I lied and said I dropped it. After doing her womanly 'told you so' duty reminding me she warned me about dropping it, she gave me a new one free! Got it home, tried to unscrew the top again and still no luck. Finally it hit me and I remembered the bottom thingy came off so I went that route. Rest is history.

Moral of the story, if I would have bought a PT2 this never would have happened.

Dripping and driving. This was before rebuildable drippers, this was during the era of 510 dripping atomizers. I dripped for five months straight. One day, on the way to work, I was at a red light and started to drip. The light turned green and I hit the gas without thinking about it, and almost T-boned a driver making a late turn. I mean, inches away from contact. Tires screeching, everything. All because I was paying attention to dripping... I would've LOVED to explain that to the police... "You smell like butterscotch, sir... How much have you dripped tonight?"

"Only three. Three drops, I swear, officer..."

Loved my kanger unitank, and since I was a good girl and had done a lot of reading on ECF I knew about polycarbonate tanks and cinnamon juice. So when I wanted to use cinnamon I bought a protank just for that. It worked out great until my daughter was visiting and I needed to refill my tanks. I was feeling pretty comfortable with my knowhow by then, so I just went ahead and did the filling while yakking away. Sure enough, I had filled the unitank with cinnamon and didn't even notice until the unitank was completely wrecked.
Of course I was much more careful after that. That's why the next week I poured the last of my Earl Grey Tea juice into the almost last of my Burley Menthol Tobacco in my protank. Not a good flavor combination. This was while I was eagerly awaiting my new juice order that I'd placed at the last possible minute.

Rewind to a few days ago.

My KFL+ wasn't hitting...ok...well the device is warm so I know its firing, let me try another long drag, hmmm nothing, device is warmer though. Oh, wait, it's flooded, I think, let me try again and take a deep inhale to get the gurgle out....nothing...device is getting hotter. Ok, I say to myself, let me just let it sit for a minute. Then I pick it up again, device is super hot, damn, atty must be broke or something, I ponder. Decided to take my KFL+ apart really quick and I see the negative post has moved and is touching the positive post. I looked at my mod, looked at the atty, looked at my mod, looked at my atty, looked up, realize I just shorted a nearly full 18650 battery. Immediately I get the battery out and it's burning hot, too hot to hold, run into my kitchen get a Pyrex dish and throw the battery into the pyrex dish. OUCH! that was hot, I said. Ok, I tell myself this is an IMR it's just going to cool down now, false sense of security lasts all of 3 seconds. I'm now running through my house, down the stairs with a battery in a pyrex dish. I run out my door and launch the battery out of the dish into the street, sigh of relief. My neighbor is outside having a smoke and I reflect, who's actually the ... here? Me standing in the cold in my pajamas throwing a potential explosive out of a dish or him puffing away.

I didn't say anything, just stood there for a solid 30 seconds waiting for it to explode so my neighbor thinks I'm not totally insane and this sparks a conversation of how quick thinking I am even late at night, reassuring my neighbor he is not living next to a crazy.

Nothing happened, checked the battery, it was cold, put it back in my dish and walked inside and my neighbor did the same. We haven't seen each other since that encounter a few days ago. My work has a battery disposal box, the final resting place of one of my AW IMR 18650.

I have another to add to my list....

Dripped some e-liquid by Halo (taste testing in a B&M) on a fresh build. Ugh, can't burn this flavor off. This atrocious, heinous tobacco blend with chocolate blah blah blah something something something.

Aside from making me crave a cig and ruining a build that I was just bragging about earlier in the day, it also killed my appetite for a few hours.

I'll start :( Two things actually...

1.) Not know, like a bone head, I got my first iclear 30B tank and promptly filled it with Raspberry Suagr Free Syrup. Not, a VG or PG just DaVinci artficial flavoring made for drinks or Italian Ice. You're not going to believe this but...IT DID NOT VAPE!

2.) This happened tonight. After having a spat with my wife, I figured, I'll show her! I proceeded to order about 150.00 work of vape 'stuff' Doesn't sound so horrible except for the fact, I had ordered almost 200.00 worth of...'stuff' earlier today. Some body is gonna be in some weal twouble :( :(

Hm...
1) I put my genny in my coat pocket and tried changing my car lightbulb.. juice everywhere
2) accidentally left an 18650 in the charger while I was out (great brand charger and battery but still)
3) not considering small li-ion battery discharge rates, threw away money on a pair of NCR protected 18350s, why do they advertize these for e-cigs

One of my first experiences with "vaping" was the E-light cigalikes. I even did some research on them. I was prepared to be done with smoking. They were perfect *in my head* for quitting. The looked like cigarettes, tasted like them and HAD to be healthier for me! I used those things for almost a year. I had no idea that having a wicked sore throat, due to getting ultra wet inhales was not common. The things I read said that a sore throat was common from "e cigs". Here is the dumb part. I did not quit until the 2nd month of coughing up blood. Yup, 1 month was not enough for me. I was DONE with smoking. I was determined to not go back. 2 months... bugger that, analogs here I come!
Now, 2.5 years later, I have an MVP2 and I love it. No sore throat, no blood, and the entire set up was FAR cheaper than those cursed things.

when explaining an iclear 16 to someone looking to get into vaping

me: "so this part with the white wicks is replaceable for about 3 bucks rather buying a whole tank"
him: "well isnt that the whole tank basically"
me: "no, just this part"
proceeds to unscrew base from full iclear 16 tank, resulting in a lap full of about 2mls of a pumpkin spice juice
me: "well, you never want to replace it with a full tank"

i smelled like pumpkin spice for days, i felt like i walked through the Eternal Bog of (Pumpkin Spice) Stench
