A couple years ago I bought a 5v box mod from madvapes. I screwed on a new LR atty, dripped into it and fired it.. immediately popping the coil :glare: I had no idea what higher voltage would do to a LR coil. I was so upset that I traded it to someone for a home made wooden 3.7 box that only fired intermittently.

Not really "dumb" .. more like ignorance on my part

Mine are Definitely not winners... But here we go:

Got my new apv. Took it to run errands. I Vape between the car and the store. Instinctively thew it in my back pocket like ego... Went to sit in the car... Broke the glass on my mpt2.... Car now smells like bananas (my wife hates the smell of banannas)... Ordered replacement glass for the mpt2, went to put it on, than realized the post broke off in the base...

Got new rda.. Did a bad wick job and it gurgled.. Figured I filled it wrong and pressure from the top cap pushed juice in the fire chamber... After a mouth full of hot juice I now know another way not to wick that rta...

Bought cheap dripper and am to stubborn to throw it out... Keeps reading as short on coils.. Fittled with it for an hour. Recoiled 3 times before realizing it was a loose post on the deck... Getting igo-w next week...

In the earlier days of vaping, me being young dumb and full of... rum I liked to stack batteries, use unprotected, see how far I could push mods. This was when 95% of the mods were mechanical metal on metal contact so basically I was asking to have my face/hands/whatever shredded. Luckily nothing happened and I became well versed in batteries, amps, ohms, voltage, wattage, etc.(Thanks to you guys.) I know not to push batteries anymore (as much) and to just enjoy vaping. There is only so far you can push these things before something VERY bad happens.

Oh, and I lost my silver bullet out while hunting on a 100 acre parcel of land. Couldn't find it after an hour or two of searching and a storm was moving in. Needless to say, one of my friends found it two days later after all the storms. Still works like a charm even after 3 years.

Had on my gloves, my counter area set up with plastic, and was adding 100mg nicotine when I somehow flicked my wrist and knocked over the whole bottle of nic onto my floor and all over my bare legs, which I just shaved. I grabbed a ton of paper towels, wiped up what I could so I didn't track it across my carpet and endanger my pets, and ran to the shower with a cordless phone. Called poison control, and they basically told me there was no reason to worry. Wth?? I just spilled about 30ml of 100mg nic all over me! In the end, I was ok aside from the tingling and a slightly rapid heart rate... Nic now goes into a special rack I built so I can use an eyedropper. lol

I must add a second dumb one. Early on ordered one of the "trial" e-cig kits. Took a whole heck of a lot to cancel the hidden carto juice of the month club and return the dumb thing before the $100 charge. This is definitely a deliberate scam.

Good old vaperlite? I made that mistake too lol took almost a month to get it canceled and still haven't seen 50% refund....but I'm just glad it's over

a bad day at the track is better than a day of not running at all
