What is wrong with my diamond?

I just got my shiny red diamond, and it's so pretty! But, it doesn't start heating the filament right away - I feel like I have to inhale hard to get it started. If I do a slow inhale, I get a mouthful of air at first, and little vapor.

I adjusted the center post according to Sno's video in the sticky, but that didn't help. I also tried a bunch of different cartos, both WOW and Cool Carts.

Any ideas?

Morning Izabella,

If you make a few attempts at fixing a new battery and they don't work, contact Customer Service. No matter the fix method you shouldn't have to spend too much time fussing with a brand new battery. Attempting a quick fix is always in the hope of bypassing down time and delay. But in this case, after 2 or so attempts at a fix have failed you've basically done all you can do on your end.

Here is a link to Morandir Method: ‪Vapor4Life Fixing the Auto Atomizer Switch on Vapor Titan Diamond and Stealth Series Batteries.‬‏ - YouTube

Hope that works for you.....let us know..

Glad to hear it izabella....

You probably already know this, but to avoid pushing the post down on your battery only screw it into your charger just far enough for the LED to blink 3 times and the charger indicator light change from green to red. As well, there should always be a slight gap between the Carto base and the battery connector base.

Metallic Red is my favorite color and I am vaping one right now with a clear crystal on it........:2cool:

Thank you, yes, I am up on the proper way to charge, thanks to the good folks here on ECF.

I have the same battery - metallic red and clear crystal. I feel a little bad now for my other batteries which may feel a little dissed because I've fallen in love with the pretty new one. Vaping love is so fickle.

Glad to hear it Ms. Izabella. There are some batts that might need the fix once, others once a week, some every other use from what I've seen so far. Good part is the fix is easy. :)

If it weren't for the good advice here, it never would have occurred to me to stick needles into batteries.

Are the latest diamonds afflicted with the battery post problem? I have a bunch of diamonds that I bought in Jan and Feb when they first came out. All of them have the battery post issue except for 1 blue w/red led. I have to pull up the post everytime I change a carto and charge. I know it shouldn't be a big deal, but it drives me nuts. I hate carrying a tweezers or paperclip with me; I just want to pop on the carto and go. I heard this problem was fixed with Version 2 diamonds. I just wanted to verify this before I bought a few of the new ones. I bought so many of the first version diamonds and they're just sitting in a drawer because of this issue.
