I wanted to start vaping because I was noticing that my teeth weren't white anymore. I found e-cigs pretty much by accident when an ad popped up on my computer screen for a truly free e-cig starter kit. I got it and quit smoking almost immediately. Once I ran out of cartos I started researching, ended up finding ECF and the rest is history.

I really wasn't enjoying smoking anymore. It stunk. I felt like crap. I was spending close to $250 a month on killling myself. It was just dumb. vaping seemed like the smarter alternative.

My Spinner and mini Vivi Nova have become my best friends. They are always there for me and only have my best interests at heart. They comfort me when I need it. They've helped raise my confidence. They've just, overall, made me feel healthier. I love my PV. I now only spend about $20 a month buying juice, and thanks to my friends, I feel so much better. Thanks guys.

A friend showed me hers in February, passed a smoke shop last month and stopped in. The guy was super nice and really helpful, I had lots of questions and he was so patient.
Hate being addicted to cigarettes, they're unhealthy, expensive, smelly, socially unacceptable, etc.
I really love the cool flavors, haven't even tried tobacco flavors because there's blueberry, watermelon, marshmallow, cotton candy... how cool is that?!?!?!

Gambling did it for me. I was playing blackjack and a guy was "smoking" a cigar. It wasn't actually a cigar. It was an e-cigar he bought at the gift shop in the casino. On the way home, with some of my winnings :), I picked up a pack of smokes and a Blu disposable. It almost instantly cut me back on smoking. Granted, Blu sucks, but that was the first one I tried and got me interested in vaping, so I give them credit for that. 2 months later, I quit smoking, altogether. Was only smoking 2-4 cigs a day for a couple weeks so I figured, what the heck. Might as well give em up and vape, exclusively. Its been a marriage ever since. I have been wanting, but not really trying, to quit cigarettes and this was the PERFECT excuse/reason to do so. After TONS of research, here I am, cigarette-free for over 2 months. I REALLY like the post I saw that said, "I want to live longer." That is the best answer/reason to vape. Any loved one I have in my life that smokes cigarettes, I talk to them about vaping. Not forcing anything, which is key in my opinion, but making them aware that this is a tobacco-harm reduction product that WORKS. You get, basically, all the motions of smoking with the hand-to-mouth gesture and the satisfaction of blowing out "smoke", but with a ton of benefits. The one I like the most is not coughing EVERY morning when I wake up but still going out to have a cigarette, no matter what. I really don't even vape when I first wake up, like I did with a cigarette. It might take me a half hour to have my first vape, which is a long time, considering I'd have a cigarette 2 minutes after I wake up. Great thread started here!

I never thought an ecig was for a "real smoker" like me and I also thought they must be really expensive.... I mean isn't everything that's electronic? My stepson let me try his cigalike which choked me it hit so hard and my heart raced from three puffs (must have been high nic) so one misconception flew out the window then he told me he started vaping to save money.... two down and I bought my first ego kit the next week.

I smoked for little over 10 years, and I would wake up coughing and unable to breath. About 3 years ago, I started looking up alternatives, and came across Halo pen style and the price was good so I gave it a shot. Took 3 weeks to get over regular smoking, but after that no looking back. But, I looked at the money i would save, the success stories, and the idea of feeling better everyday.

I saw someone vaping in a movie. I saw them take a drag on what looked like a cigarette. It was glowing red. He breathed out what looked like smoke. But then he stuck it back in his pocket without extinguishing. I wondered what on earth it was. I had never seen or heard of an e-cig before that. So I looked around on the internet and ordered one from USA. We aren't allowed nicotine in our e-liquids. I tried it and it was great. Soon after (unintentionally) I used it to quit smoking. Bonus!

April 30, my doctor said it was time to seriously think about quitting smoking. (He knew I smoked, but that was the first time he'd ever told me it was time to quit.) A couple of years ago I tried one of the e-cigs that looks like a real cig but wasn't impressed. Doctor told me to find something better. Still had two cartons of real cigs to smoke, but meanwhile bought a 7's Hybrid. Switched to that after I'd smoked all the real cigs. Was satisfactory, but then started doing more research. Now using eGo battery with Vivi Nova tank. (Nice to be able to see the juice in the cig.) Haven't smoked a real cig in over 3 weeks now and have no desire to. (And have stopped coughing.)

Wife said she'd try them if i did. So i bought myself a silver bullet and her an eVic and then rather lose face and admit she had more willpower than me, i stuck with it.

The sobering thing is the money i don't spend on tobacco for us each month easily pays for her health insurance, so that's a big plus. It also means i buy what i like as far as vaping gear goes with no guilt; when she blinks at the cost of something i show her the banner!

I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. Nothing else worked long-term, although I do like Nicotine Gum. However, it didn't give me the "ritual mechanics" of smoking without the smoke. Vaping gives me all that and more, and I had my last cigarette on the day I took my first vape over a year ago. This is it.
