I noticed the njoy kits and disposables at my local Hess station buying smokes for the first time. I thought "I'm stupid, I should try that"...next time. 2 packs of smokes later I showed up at the counter for smokes again and "give me one of those disposable ecig things" just came out of my mouth! It lasted me a day and a half for $8, when I bought it I took note of the rechargeable NJOY kit which I went back and bought. Then I met a chain smoking customer and showed him what I had, he pulled out a box of 510 stuff and told me not to waste my time and money and go "straight for this" holding up his eGo! We talked about the expensive NJOY carto refills and he gave me a bottle of ejuice and told me to youtube how to refill it. Both methods worked (condom and busting the bottom out), but I found a better way and haven't made a video. You put the condom thingy on the top of the carto where you draw from and work a set of pliers around it with modest pressure. When you'll break the heat seal they use when they press fit it in and you can stick a paper clip (with a tight little hook bent into the end) down into the hole. Pull and there you have it, comes right out. Drip into the carto, straighten the clip out to get the piece off the other end and pop it back in. Once you do this once you don't need to use the pliers again. I've converted my $15 5 pack of NJOY cartos into refillable cartos :) Now I'm debating buying an eRoll or just a bottle of juice and quitting everything...

cigarettes were making me feel like I was being drug down a hole.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. My smoking kept getting worse and worse, coughing all the time etc. I have been vaping for a week now. It took my PAD habit down to 1 analog a day. The last couple days I have tried to smoke an anolog, I got about 3 drags in and put it out. I would rather taste my coke and rum 18mg than dirty ashtray flavored cigarettes.

Started feeling tightness in my chest and just not feeling very well. I've smoked for 30 years and was at about a pack and a half a day. I decided to try e-cigs because I have tried everything else I could think of. I've tried to quit cold turkey, hard candy, nic gum, nic patches, different medications like Welbutrin and even got some type of shots behind my ears that was supposed to get rid of the craving. I started vaping and haven't looked back.

I may have hit this thread already but I'm not reading eleven pages to find out:

For me it was several reasons but first and foremost was I couldn't breath which can lead to a much quicker death than cancer in my line of work. It was to the point I couldn't run not less fight for any extended period of time which can put me in a casket any day I walk out the door, not good. On top of that it's the same as many others here; general quality of life increase, desire to live longer and see my grandkids grow up, and eventual money savings.

There were a few reasons I made the switch. My youngest son has been asking me and my husband to quit for a couple years. I was starting to get smokers cough and hated it. We used roll your owns and I hated having to roll a couple packs a day. I've wanted to quit for awhile but knew from past experience if my other half still smoked and I quit I'd end up backsliding. When he brought home a PV a few weeks ago and said he was ready I was on board. Since then I've smoked less than a half pack and my last analog was Thursday. My cough is gone and I feel a lot better. It's so much easier to fill a tank than use a Rollie machine. I'm really enjoying the different flavors and there's so many fun devices. My local vape store is quickly becoming my favorite shopping location lol. Both my kids are happier and will be healthier not being exposed to tobacco. Since I can vape at my desk I don't have to go into Oklahomas heat and humidity as much and I'm getting a lot more done at work.

I smoked for over 10 years (almost 2 packs a day) before I quit. Then after 15 years, I picked it up again. I actually never heard of "Vapor" or e-cigs before. It was at this last Star Wars Weekends in Disney where I got turned on to it. I belong to the 501st and we march in Disney's parade every year. Before suiting up in the back lot, I would have to go outside the fence to go smoke with a few of the guys. But the last couple weekends, I seen some of our guys "smoking" on the back lot. Started to talk about it, liked the Blu's the best and glad I tried it!! Haven't touched a cig to this day! Funny too....Disney was aok with Vapin'. :)

The birth of my first child was what drove me over the brink to vaping. I knew smoking would be the quick end of me and also I felt so dirty having to wash up before being able to play with my son after smoking. I had played with the cig-a-likes for a year prior to no real avail, but I saw the possibilities vaping held. After a chance conversation with the brother of a good friend I learned that there were many better options than the gas station pvs. Ordered a pair of eGo Twists and MT3s that night and haven't looked back since. My setup has changed from the eGos over time, but the one thing that hasn't changed has been my love for my child and the desire to be here for him for a long time.

My throat was starting to sound horse....all the time! I thought, "OMG...in 5 years I'll sound like a man!" No, indeed its time to stop the analogs and go "green"! LOL Can I get a tax write off on my e-cig products for shrinking my carbon footprint? (Yeah right) :p

Two years ago I bought a 901, burnt taste, 6 months later bought an 501 old style with the atomizer and the soft refillable cartos, heavy draws would make leak in a heartbeat. My brother got me to try a spinner and clearomizer this year. It is a huge difference in how the products have improved or at least ones that I even knew existed. So here I am a couple months into it and my cigarette smoking as decreased. I like the fact I do not have to retreat to the basement to smoke or to go outside. I must admit I am rather missing the fact I can't just dangle these in my mouth like a 901 or an analog..but at least I can smoke these in my living room and I do not have to worry I will burn the house down with these.

i did the math and after 10 years ive roughly smoked 40k cigarettes on my 4 pack/week habit. disgusting. i just sat down and thought of all the negatives about it. most of my close friends have been vaping for at least a year to two years already and so i thought,"why the hell not??" why am i the dummy that has to go out to the backyard and smoke? i hated the trail of odor it left behind.

i am extremely happy vaping and all the delicious flavors i can try. glad i switched and kicking myself for not starting sooner.

Besides the health thing, the rubbish (cigarette butts, empty packs) not to mention the cigarette pack in pocket. A pack of smokes would look silly hanging from somebodies neck. The smell, hate smoking around my kids, vapor ain't no second hand smoke. Now can vape while driving instead of waiting till i get to destination.
