Tried all other methods and failed. The gap in satisfaction between all other methods and smoking was grand canyon sized. I started rationalizing that I'm happier smoking and perform better mentally and emotionally so the quality of life trade was worth with the risks. Realizing how absolutely stupid that type thought process was I looked into ecigs and found this place.

First try was love at first pull. A near utopian solution to an evil problem. Now the gap in satisfaction has narrowed to virtually nothing and I'm well on my way to finding more satisfaction in ecigs than I ever did with analogs.

My husband actually suggested it, and much to my surprise, I love it! Just ordered another battery and clearomizer yesterday. One of the main reasons is obviously health related. I am almost 40, and was getting winded just walking up my stairs! I want to be around to watch my daughter graduate, get married, have kids... and smoking analogs was going to most likely shorten that span of time I want to have! Also, I love the fact that there is no smell! My house and my car, and my clothes, hair, everything just smells great now! No more yucky breath either! Makes kissing my husband that much better!!!

had to log in just so i could 'like' this post. well said, brother.

ive smoked a PAD for 28 years, quit more times than i could count. and now im one of those 'accidental' quitters, a friend at work showed me his ecig and i decided to try it. found i liked it just fine, reasoned that i should make the effort to switch completely for health reasons mostly. finding that i like vaping MUCH better. =)

Right back 'atchya.

I quit long term daily heavy smoking about 3-4 years ago. I would go off and on but always had lozenges on hand. The last couple years have sucked for me because I only smoked 1 day per week (crushed a pack though) and suffered through 6 days of lozenges in between. I hated the gum and lozenges were ever so slightly better but they still sucked. So I fought with my own mind day in and day out. I kept bringing my wife back in too. She loved "cheating" on quitting but I felt really bad that I perpetuated her own mental struggle. We are very similar with our addiction though.

I got so dang sick of the mind games that it made me reach a bit of a crossroads. I either had to simply accept the fact that I had to go back to cold turkey or just give in and get back to "normal". Both options sucked...and sucked bad. But the current option sucked bad too. I'm in my 40's with 4 kids and was unhappy in all directions with the smoking thing...and then...I found...utopia. My wife is thrilled too. No more struggling. No more guilt. No more being in between.

Best of all...my best friend (and worst influence) is a 25 year PAD smoker. He hasn't had an analog since Thursday @ 5pm when he picked up an eGo because he was thrilled with what I was saying and had to try it himself. I feel like I saved my best friends life (in a totally selfless way).
