What Mod did you buy and then immediately regret

My family has bought three of them. Yah the colored ones..zenkote i believe- are $180. We just bought the satin and polished ones. $150 i believe.
I wasnt thinking of the batteries or chargers, as they can be used for anything, and its not the mod itself.
The dragon ones are even higher.
I believe the titanium one is $300.

I love my sigelei 50w box but regret it at the use time. I had no clue what I was getting into and just purchased it because it was smaller than the other boxes at that store. My regret is that right after I purchased it i found out that there was a 100w box. Not because I planned on vaping at 100w but because I was completely new and wanted more flexibility from my mod.

If a Provari 'hits harder' than any mech, something is wrong.

Bellwether from FT. Got it to check out the locking mechanism and possibly use the button on another mod. It's utter crap. Not even fired once. Could probably tweak and tinker a little, but it would only be lipstick on a pig.

Blue Tongue Hybrid. Crappy center post solution. Somewhat silly AFC design. Poor button. Could well do without it. Was an impulse buy.

I haven't regretted getting any of my mods, but I've been disappointed with some of them. My first Nemesis clone for example. I had trouble with the fire button. My second one was fine. Not a mod, but my first Russian 91% clone had crap juice channels. My cheaper Kayfun 3.1 clone works much better.

Unfortunately, I agree. It's a fantastic device but I just ended up wanting more out of vaping too soon after I purchased it. It got about 2 months of use before I bought my Ranger OKR box. Now it just sits around unused and I'm not sure how to sell it or if there's even a market for it now that that the V3 is out. Mine is the V2.5. What sucks even more is that I have a good $100 in accessories for it as well along with 5 dedicated batteries.

Oh well, I suppose.

Yup...I bought a total of 5 V2 808d batteries over a few months...all of them were poor quality and three of them didn't work well right out of the gate. But at least they convinced me that vaping was legit and I was able to transition to better gear. I do regret my iStick purchase since mine is defective.

You're not sure how to sell it? You are a verified member, put it on the classifieds and assuming the pricing is reasonable, it'll be gone in a day or two.

None immediately but I did outgrown hybrids pretty quickly. I was new and they were genesis devices. Great in their short time in the spot light but impractical as on the go vape devices.

Immediately? None. A few ended up disappointing me after a while... and one ended up embarrassing me.

There was one I gave my highest recommendation to... and I personally talked quite a number of ECF-ers (and people on other forums as well) in to buying. Mine was perfect for a couple of months... absolutely perfect. Other people reported a variety of problems - and they did so consistently. My guess is that it was at least 80% of the folks who talked about owning it reported serious problems with it... but mine was perfect for a while and I continued recommending it. -- Then, one day, it wasn't so perfect any more. I sent it in for repair. When I got it back, it had every single problem other people had reported with theirs.... It was the VVPV. I still, more than 2 1/2 years later, feel compelled to apologize to anyone I talked in to buying that thing. I honestly feel bad about any role I played in promoting that piece of junk. ---> I genuinely like the guy who made it and his work is incredibly important to the evolution of e-cigs... but I was left seriously unsatisfied with the entire experience... except those couple of months or so when that thing worked right.

I kept it. It doesn't work right, and it leaks like a sieve, and it doesn't charge properly, and I never intend to ever even try to use it again... But I keep that one where I see it almost every day so I can have a good reminder to be far more judicious with my recommendations and to give devices far more scrutiny before I spend good money on them.

Wish hybrids got a real comeback. None of the hybrids I've seen can compete with any of my favored non-hybrid setups when it comes to size. Which sort of defeats half the purpose for me.

Both my Vamo V2 and V3. The threads stripped out quickly on my Vamo V2 so when I got the V3 I immediality but a airflow controller on it to protect the threads. I knocked it over though one day and the it stripped the threads when the tank came halfway off!

Now I stick with my Provari's and my MVP 2. Over a year and threads still going strong!

iTaste VTR - Just too little power to weight ratio.

I bought it as a step up from eGo Twists, worked great and was super good at pulling my trousers down for me (when pocketed). I got my first mech mod a couple months after the VTR and have barely used the VTR since, just too heavy and bulky to be practical to use on the go and too little power for use with drippers when not on the go.

Hades clone. Not totally regret as it was my first mech mod and help me along my path. But damn, a 26650 gets silly to carry around and the brass threads on the 510 stripped out in no time without ever having been cross threaded.

I had a VmodXL that I hated, it was too big, and the button was hard to push, and I didn't like squonking.

Valkrie hybrid (clone)- This one just wasn't my thing. I didn't get any convenience from the hybrid idea, and it would take a lot of convincing to ever get me to try another.

Eleaf istick- the 510 threads crapped out after about a week. I wish they'd get the issues worked out for the next version, because I loved the size and form, but it's got a few problems.

I agree. Hence the regret.
A Kayfun wrapped to one ohm on my Provari set at 3.8 hits harder than my 4Nine with a fresh 25r or VTC5 in it.


I agree with you on the hybrids. My old Silver Dog is still one of my favs

What? The base price on most 2.5 Provari's is $180.00. By the time you throw shipping on top of that you are nearly at $200.00 and way over if you order batteries and/or a charger to go with. Everything costs extra beyond the $180.00 for the Provari itself. Or if you order a complete kit that includes the charger and batteries that option starts at $209.95

So?? A ZNA costs $279 for the base unit. The Hanna also cost $279 .. until they found that they couldn't sell them at that price. A Wizard's Apprentice Evolved II costs $325. If you want me to I can list almost 50 mods that cost more than a Provari.
