Well the way I see it is the Vamo goes all the way to version 8 now and the most expensive one is still version 3. That's says a lot right there to me.

You are very wrong here. Vamo 3 is one of the cheapest (along with 2 and 5 =$25), Vamo 8 is more expencive (do not check prices in a local B&M). I am using vamo 5 for 6 months now, no wear at all, all buttons are crisp, working as new. In terms price-quality it is a fantastic device. If I have been forced to buy new mod right now, it would be vamo 8.

My mvp v2 and vamp oil rig were the only mods ive regretted buying.

The mvp v2 - i moved from ego to this but like two weeks later decided to move to drippers. The mvp sat on a shelf since then and hasnt been used.

The rig from vamp - its an awesome, high quality, hard hitting mech. I bought it on an impulse and never use it, shorty found after buying it that i like mechs like the SMPL and buster better (anything with a hybrid 510 connection). So that sits on the shelf as well... $180 piece if art.

All of the mechs I got. All clones but I did that just to test the waters and ya not for me. I like all the provari 's I have and my vs. I hate the Kayfun guess cause I could never get it to stop leaking then tried the taifun. It was good then it started leaking too. My pt' s have been great and now I am in love with the erlkoenigin clones I have. That is the best Rebuildable I have. No leaks no issues.

Other people might have said it, but any/all ProTanks were a HUGE waste of money to me (and I bought about 2 or 3).

Airflow was always hilariously terrible (even the AeroTank, while an improvement, wasn't anything fantastic), and flavors were always muted. Switching to drippers was the best thing I ever did, and I shoulda passed up the ProTanks altogether for a carto tank or something.

But in terms of mods -- I still use all my devices that I bought. Was considering selling my MVP2, but even my MVP2 gets some use with my Nautilus Mini (although not in the last couple of weeks) from time to time. My old, beat-up Magneto doesn't really get used, but it's a nice backup device, and it was my first mech mod so it has a bit of hist'ry. I'd still pick it up in a pinch, for sure.

Box mods seem to be the road I'm on though. Box mods, all day every day.

When I posted this I was thinking of more advanced mods - not the Evods.

Now that it has been brought up- thats my biggest regret.
When I started, they were weak, leaky juice wasting failures.
Now, with attys like the Nautilus Mini, its more viable.
I wish that I had just used cartos at that stage.

I would have to agree. My first buy was the EVOD starter kit. I wish I had researched more before pulling the trigger on that one. I didn't know about ECF
The EVOD kit got maybe two weeks use.

My biggest regret is that I didn't get a Reo sooner. If I had, I wouldn't have spent so much on other devices. The only mods I use now are the two Reo Grands topped with a Rm2 or Rm3 and a DNA 30 device topped with a kayfun lite +. The 30w device sees little use though.

I just wish I could have skipped all the beginner stuff. I would have a few hundred to spend on real nice gear now that I know what that actually means.
The most immediate regret though was my VV eGos between my regular egos and when I got into rebuilding. About two days after I got them I realized that they were so much better than what I had, but the next step up would be mind blowing. Ordered a hana clone and fogger about two weeks later and have been real happy with my choices.

My Reo.

Cause I judge everything else by its simplistic design and it just works...every time. Can be easily repaired or sent back to the creator if so inclined.

I am now getting back into ProVari because of the same reason. I love and have missed tanks/cartos so that will be my go to device for those. Now I just need to stalk the classies which is half the fun for me!

My HCigar King V1. It's a very sexy SS polished mod and I even got a flat top cap to go with it. Now it looks 1000% better IMO, then I immediately found out that the voltage drop on it is HORRIBLE (0.75) compared to my HCigar copper nemmy (0.25) and my HCigar SS Skeleton key (0.5). Such a shame that something as beautiful as the King V1 has such a horrible VD lol.

Can I just say that it's OKAY if someone regrets buying their Provari? This thread is about what mod you regret, not why you shouldn't regret it.

Absolutley.

I like them, but they sure arent for everyone, especially with the high powered VV/VW mods out there.

And that goes double for the P3.

Heck, if you really want to kick up a fuss, be like me and say that you felt that the REO was an overpriced rats nest of wires with a V Drop that is out of line for a device that is made for dripping-even with the sub ohm upgrade.

The final straw for me was that the machining was rougher than a good clone's. All its got is the squonk.
Others love them.
For that, I prefer my Sunbox, so different strokes and all that.
The person I sold my REO to loves it, and now we are both happy :)

The Vamo V2. It's not so much I regret buying it, I feel sorry for it. I already had a ProVari, but found the Vamo at a great price on sale. I wanted to give it a whirl, due to all the posts about how much better VW was. For me, it wasn't. And the poor thing hasn't weathered too well. Within a week the dark chrome finish had worn off where I held it and it fell over - as in tipped over, not dropped - onto a vinyl covered table top and somehow the screen scuffed. I've barely used it, but now if I put a battery in I have to shake it before it will turn on (yes, the contacts are clean and the spring is fine). I can't even PIF it, since the performance is so unreliable.

I don't regret any gear I've purchased, as I've learned something from every device, but the Vamo always looks sad.
