I will suggest for a mod the Vapor Shark Stout. 2650 Battery; it's 75 or 100 Watts, and a sturdy reasonably priced.
The tank kayfun v4 (Clone). Easy deck to build on; great flavor, nice 4.5ml juice capacity, & last but not least durable.
Oh wait once again reasonably priced.
Or if you like a more open draw to your Vape the Kayfun 5(Clone)
Please post on what you do finally get:thumb:

What kind of wire and what build you recommend for Kayfun V5 for the best flavor? Right now I only have 28 gauge Kanthal but I am definitely buying something different just dont know should I buy 26 or 24 gauge Kanthal and plus since Im gonna probably buy TC Mod maybe I should buy some other wire too. Suggest me something please?

I used to use 28ga Kanthal, but for more flavor and slightly less heat I 've gone to 26ga Kanthal with spaced coils In the case of TC I use Stainless Steel.

Your welcome and hope you find the same satisfaction in your Vape:thumb:

To be honest with you I've been vaping for almost a year and still not happy. Thats why Im trying to upgrade my mod and tanks. I have another thread about e liquid. That is why Im still not a happy vaper. Been doing DYI for almost a year and still cant make good ejuice no matter if I follow recipes or do a single flavor vape. There is always something wrong. No enough flavor or harsh juice or kind of dusty vapor that make me cough. Still trying to find out is it my tank or mod or coil or wick or flavor, maybe nic or pg/vg. A lot of time I just think vendors are putting something we dont know to make their juice taste good and clean.

Most of the time - and yes, I say most of the time - you have one, if not MULTIPLE things wrong with your mixture. If I said "try an AVOCADO-24 RTA", I'd be going way out there for some. It has got to be the most fun tank to work with and the flavor I get from is is phenomenal. BUT! Before you go out there and blow a huge chunk of change on gear... a word of advice when doing DIY - NOT ALL VG, PG, NIC, and FLAVORINGS ARE CREATED EQUAL! I prefer FlavourArt flavorings when I mix. I mix MOSTLY 6-9mg nic levels too. 6mg for dripping / tanking and 9mg for tanking ONLY. I've made many good (and just as many BAD) liquids. DIY mixing is a test of patience. Keep at it though... it's frustrating, but eventually, you'll find what works for you.

As far as what's making you cough or has a "dusty flavor" to it - change flavors, lower nic levels, and use less PG - more VG if it's making you cough and has a "dusty" or "dirty" flavor to it. Also, I find that boiling my mixtures (in the bottles - inside a pot of boiling water) AFTER I mix them aids in mixing the compounds together very nicely. After I boil the bottles for a few minutes, I take them out and let them cool to room temp, and test taste them on an RDA or a carto (which I need to order more of) that's been thoroughly washed and dried and / or rinsed under hot water with a fresh wick installed. Also note - BEFORE wicking a fresh atty, make sure you wash and dry your hands THOROUGHLY! As cotton has a tendency to absorb oil from your hands. Use a good soap, a clean towel, and warm water. It helps. These things have helped me. Try them, if it still tastes "dirty" - try a softer flavor. Like vanilla (or mint - as it seems to help cleanse that nasty taste off my taste buds).

Tfa tutti frutti and FW moose milk and fireball gave me that choking vape. I know FW its maybe cinnamon and fructose but why tutti frutti I have no idea. A week ago I've ordered mostly flavors from FA because Im sure juices I like from one vendor are made of FA because they have the same name and picture. Lets try fuji apple. They say online 2-4%. Ok I try 3%. Barely something. Ok I said maybe I went too high so I lostt flavor. I go to 2% bam nothing. Ok let me go to 8%. Nothing. 12-15% nothing. It smells good but I can barely feel something in the juice. So I get stuck and ask myself wtf?
Even if I feel some flavor on my DIY its always behind hidden kind of muddy and on vendors juice its right there at the front. I even tried MTS Vape Wizard. No difference.
Before my nic was not in the freezer so I thought that was a problem. Now it is since I got it and still no good juice.
I read and read and ask and ask but nope still no good.

What is your mixture consisting of? Mostly VG? I try to keep my VG / PG ratio @ a minimum 80VG / 20PG - as PG tends to carry flavor mostly. BUT... if PG is making you cough...

Try mixing somewhere between 60VG / 40PG - 70VG / 30PG. Keep in mind most flavors are PG based. As far as Tutti Frutti is concerned - doesn't it have a citrus base to it?

My mixing started with 80pg/20vg because I wanted to get that flavor. Just after that I started 50/50. I kept it like that for some time. Now I do 60vg/40pg for a long time because I want more vapor from vg but to have enough pg to carry the flavor. Nope no matter what % of flavor I use its always barely noticeable. Vendors juices are good so its not about my taste buds.

I've checked this Kayfun V5 tank. It looks like a lot of flavor type a tank. My question is if you put glass tank instead a metal one is there a change in flavor? I kind of like to see what is going on with my juice while I vape. [emoji51]

Another thing does it leak alot? For example Kanger mini barely leaks on me but sometimes it does especially after I wick it and vape with the same wick for 4-5 days.
Thanks

If you're looking to do TC, I suggest the RX200S or RX200. They have issues with some "toppers" b/c the well for 510 pins is not deep enough but most do not have any issues. I have 8 Sigeleis and in so far as I know, NONE do TC properly. That info is all over YouTube and Sigelei is loosing a lot of business over lack of TC. Now with that said, if you do not do TC, I think the Sigelei 213 (have 2) and Fuchai 213 (have 4) are great.

Also, regarding the Kayfun 5(have 2), I've never heard anything bad regarding stainless or glass tank and I think I've seen all the major YouTube videos on it. When I draw air through it, it is pretty tight, still good enough for direct lung hits, but not as open as my Twisted Messes Squared RDA.

Wait for the new Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3 TC Mod. They just updated the board the 510 pin to gold, And whatever else I don't know, but It's new and 200 watts of power for 50 bucks.

The new mods in the RX series sell at the 200w limit. The software upgrade om my RX200S is for up to 250w. I don't know who is going to use that, but it's there. Most I've vaped at is around 170W.

I've ordered Kayfun V5 clone already.
About Wismec some of the guys on here complain about it and new Rx2/3 is coming out soon.
Its still on my list so I cant decide between Wismec Rx2/3 Istick 100W TC or Cubioid 150W TC. [emoji848]

Yes, I've seen videos on YouTube regarding the RX2/3. I might pick a few up too.

ALL of the mods made have design flaws. It's a matter of being able to work through the retailer/vendor or put up with the flaws. Depends on how handy you are. For all of my RX200S mods, I'm going to replace the 510 connector plate on top of the mod. I have 4 510 connectors from Varitube, and I'll be buying abt 10 to 20 more.

A lot of people, including myself are stocking up for FDA Deeming which comes 8/8/2016. Supplies are going to tighten over next 2yrs, some believe to the point that they will not be able to get most goods.

READ the document in my signature. VVVV - DOWN BELOW - VVV

Get yourself a scale for repeatability for DIY, and that way you know what not to do the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time you DIY.

Oh so those box mods are regulated and they cant explode? Good to know [emoji106]

Statistically you are right, but there have been a few with issues.
As long as you are using high drain matched batteries (Always used and charged together since new) and good wraps.
The stories I have read with regulated mods venting etc are a result of mismatched batteries causing a thermal runaway.
As long as you don't try to cut corners with Batts and chargers I don't forsee any issues for you.

Hi guys. I've been vapimg for almost a year now and I want to buy new mod and new tank but I am kind of stuck here.
My first mod was 20W small mod with Aspire Nautilus mini.
My second (current) mod is Innokin Itaste MVP 3 Pro (60W) and Im using Kangertech Subtank Mini and just using RBA head all the time.
Now I want to buy new mod and 1 or 2 tanks (rebuildable) but Im not sure which ones are good and strong. I like Eleaf Istick 100W mod but I was thinking to maybe buy a temperature controled mod and I dont want to spend a lot of money.

So my mod options for now are:

Elaef Ipower 80W
Innokin coolfire 4 TC100
Siegel T150 touchscreen
Laisimo L1 200W TC
Joye Cuboid 150W TC
Eleaf iSmoka iStick 100W (no temp control)
Joyetech eVic-VT 60W 5000mAh

TANKS:

IJoy Limitless RDTA
GeekVape Griffin 25
SmokTech TFV8 (but this one eats juice and has crazy low ohm so I afraid to buy it)
Goliath V2
Eleaf Lemo 2
Horizon Arctic V8
Uwell Crown Tank

These are just my options and what looks good to me.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks!

My final list on Tanks is:

Kayfun V5 clone (already ordered)
Ijoy Limitless RDTA
Griffin 25

Mods:

Cuboid 150W
Wismec 200S
But this is not final on Mods!

Please vote what mod would you buy or already have so I can make my final decision.

Also thinking to try builds with stainless steel (I've seen a lot of videos people say gives the best flavor no matter is it in TC or not)
And clapton coils.
What gauge ss wire you recommend 26 or 28g and the same for clapton wire?
Thanks!
