are we collectively or chemically bonding molecules together ?
or just trying to disperse each molecule as effectively as we can ?

Really just mixing. That being said... Whenever you mix a bunch of stuff together in a solution, there's always a chance that some chemistry is happening. Things degrade and the degradation products can also react. There are contaminants, and those can react. If you are adding a bunch of different flavorings it stands to reason that the chances of chemical interactions increase. Unless you are a chemist and know the structures of all the different components and know the degradation products and contaminants and thier structures, any chemistry that is going on will be fairly unpredictable. This could explain why, in some cases, it seems to make a difference. Just a guess...

I tend to think that order of adding stuff doesn't usually make much of a difference. The one benefit of following a specific order though is the routine of it. If you have a set routine that you always follow, you are less likely to leave something out or add something twice. In the lab, that is usually why we followed a specific order. Other things can come into play as well, such as the volume that you are adding. I tend to add larger volume components first, and then the smaller volume components. This comes from lab experience, but probably doesn't make a difference with the volumes we are using (i.e. it's just about impossible to add half a microliter to an empty vial; you have to pipette it into a larger volume).

I add Nic, VG, PG, then flavorings. I follow that with two-three hot baths, shaking it when hot and when it starts cooling off before the next bath. I'm not sure if the order matters or not. This makes me think I should make 3 identical batches and mix the ingredients in different order, then test them side by side in drippers.

I never thought about it real hard. I always put nic first, very very carefully measured. Then pg/vg, then flavors. I put them in the order they are listed on my calculator, and I make a mental check on each entry of the calculator. Then shake it shake it shake it, test vape to see if it's just about right, then forget about it for a week.

I wonder why it would matter what order you put the ingredients into the bottle, when the whole shebang gets beaten up numerous times, perhaps put in a sauna or a ride on the tilt-a-whirl, the final result is the blending of all components into one cohesive mixture?

Why? IDK, it is just the routine I have gotten into. It helps to stick with a routine in case I get distracted in the middle it is easier to figure out where I was. It is also the order I write down my ingredients into my notepad with.

But I have only been doing this for about a month or so.
