What part of vaping "does it" for you?

I stopped smoking for a month just to see if I could. I did. I didn't see the point at the time. I also didn't know what I know now about all the negatives involved. I think for me it's the throat hit and the fidgeting aspect that does it for me.

For most people it's one of the following:

Nicotine addiction; they don't care in what form they satiate their need.

Fidget: they need something to play with; play with the cigar, cig, or whatever.

Mental Satiation: the need to fulfill the habitual, almost ritual, task of "fixing."

Social: Because you don't want to be the one goober left out.

Which one are you?

i like vaping because it saves me money and is probably better for you than smoking tobacco.
automotive mods and repair are something like to do for fun. messing around with drippers and mods is more of something i do because i need to vape. all i care about is vapor production i make my own eliquids with small amounts of flavoring and almost no PG because i dont like the throat it from PG and inhaling flavoring is probably not the best thing for you.

When I couldn't smoke I would use chewing tobacco (not snuff or pouches). Saving money was the number one factor. Next in line was being able to puff inside my house or just about any where. Couldn't do that with cigarettes. Now that I diy I can make e liquid to suit my needs. Sometimes I'll do 0 nicotine. More stressful days I do 16 MGs. Average day it's 6-3 mgs of nic.
Congrats on making the switch invisible :)

When I was a smoker, I enjoyed pretty much everything about smoking, except for all the bad things associated with smoking e.g. the smell, the tar, the toxins, the burning material. With vaping, I get everything I loved about smoking, but without the negatives. I enjoy the throat hit, and the vapor, the flavor, I can't find anything that I don't like about vaping vs smoking. Other than when I pitched vaping to my wife who is a lifelong non-smoker, I wasn't aware of how much stuff I'd WANT to buy as opposed to what I needed to buy. I didn't need to buy half my vaping gear, but I did, so it's not saving me as much as I anticipated, but in time I'm sure it will.

Same here Elvind, I didn't want to quit smoking (about a PAD), but I had come to hate all the negatives, mostly the smell and the stigma of being a smoker. It didn't help that some of my co-workers were pretty vocal about how much the analog smell bothered them. Co-workers had even suggested a pool to buy me an e-cig for work, but that materialized, and I was resistant to trying an e-cig because i just didn't think I would like it. I thought it would be to heavy, not feel right, etc. Then, pretty much on a whim (after over a year of avoidance), I picked up a Blu starter pack at a gas station. Woah. 3 days later I stopped smoking analogs... 3 days after that I slipped and smoked 3-4... but it felt wrong, like what am I doing?

So to answer the question, for me, it's the fidget, getting to keep my physical routines, and the mental satiation, with a gadget factor kicker. I love gadgets.
