Someone on here told me when it's gurgling due to weather or what have you to shake it like a thermometer. It's been working great. Make sure to be outside though it's a bit messy heh.

Hi, someone here.:) Also helps to store them mouthpiece down if they aren't going to be used for a while. And, definitely when left somewhere that rapid temperature changes are likely to occur like inside a car even for short durations.

Got a burnt taste on the 2.4ohms at 4.5v after less than half a tank. Took the head apart and washed with hot water. Patted dry and took out the flavor wicks and did a dry burn to get rid of the gunk. Replaced 2 of the 3 wicks and reassembled. The first few vapes had a really nasty burnt taste but after a few, vapes like a charm. No more burnt taste and the flavor went up a notch! Love my KPT!!!

Oh.. gotten used to the airy draw now and reduced the voltage to 3.8 and still huge cloud of vapors :vapor:

The same thing happened to me but it was happening Intermittently with one specific juice from the beginning. I first removed the cup seal completely, against my better judgement, and it was great for the rest of the day. But the next day my Pro tank was flooded. The taste with the cup removed was a lot better and I could increase the wattage to 4.5v without a burnt taste. So I flipped the cup over when I added it back to the tank and the flavor is still the same but I had to reduce the volts to 3.9 because I started getting a burnt taste again. It only happens with one juice so I'm not concerned. I've since flipped over all of the cup seals bd now I get much better flavor. The seal must restrict the flavor wicks is all I can figure out. I've had no leaks or gurgles, other then the one incident with flooding (which was my fault) since day one. I wash my heds out with hot tap water and let them soak over night. I just performed my first dry burn on 1 of my original heads, and it's working like new.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with mine. But I would like to see a newer version with the quality control issues addressed, a replaceable tip, the ability to adjust the air flow and maybe some measurement lines for the juice. Also a ss version would be cool, as I prefer ss over chrome. Heads with the ohms written on them would also be great, as well as a larger variety of ohms. Maybe 2 more ohm varieties would be good.

Heck I'll even offer to give up my free time to be Kangers test subject to further this hobby. :)

I agree with everything except the measurement lines for juice. That is one of my biggest pet peeves with clearo's, I don't like the looking like a syringe.

I have 3. removed the top wick from all and rotate the coil assemblies once a week to clean ones. I use it on my vamo at 10w. Never get dry hits. Always enjoy the flavor. I feel like the hit better than the T3's for some reason even though the coildesign and resistance is almost identical. I kind of enjoy the little mis-shapeness of the glass tanks that one of mine has worse than the others. makes it look a little more handmade or something.

I just got a couple of pro tanks, only using one of them right now. Was working fine the first day, now I'm getting a consistent short reading on 2 evics and 1 vamo. Tried swapping the head with a known working evod head, no change.

Anyone else having this issue? Finally had a chance to start to research tonight on ecf. This is the Irish thread I found about pro tank issues so far.

Make sure that the negative and positive wires are not sticking out on the heads and I would clean the base really well. There may be a stray wire bit deep in there somehow.

Man, I just ordered two for the first time over the weekend. I exclusively use dual coil cartos. I never liked ANY clearo, but I had never tried a Kanger product. Thought I'd give this a try. Now you guys are scareing me!

Trust me they work great. I have two. I rebuilt my coils and they work awesome. Even the stock works good.

I love the pro-tank. I love the looks of it and I do like the cooler vape. I'm only having trouble dry burning the coils. i've killed 3 of them by dry burning. Over heating them is my guess. I've been dry burning coils for 2 years so am not a total noob but for some reason am not doing well with these. I remove the pin, I do about five 3 second bursts and watch the gunk clean off and coil turn red. Then poof dead. lol Would some one like to hold my hand and guide me on this one. Oh and no rebuilding please. My eyes are too old for delicate work as much as I would love to tinker with the coil. Thank you!

What are you using to dry burn? I dont know what gauge the coil in the protank is. But I always use one of my egos for dry burns. Just because I know I wont accidentally fry anything too special. Its regulated and I dont mind getting them hot because I only have 6 of them. Lol.

Haha! Sometimes us old farts just don't think. Lalala going through life...Pro tank purchase coincided with purchase of variable voltage device, aka vamo. Never had problems dry burning before on an eGo....now throwing the thing back on vamo and dry burning around 5 to 6 volts. Oops! I think you found the problem.

Thanks and like you I have eGo's all over the place, so they will be used in the future or I'll turn that vamo down!
