The 2 heads that came with mine I cannot get the post out of them no matter how hard I try. Has anyone else had this problem? I have even tried using pliers but no luck.

That's awful! This may sound dumb but did you wiggle it back and forth? Here is how I take mine out. Maybe it will help? I screw the head into the base so I have more to grip. Then I grab a kitchen towel and have one layer of towel between my fingers and the base. I hold on tight then grab the opposite corner of the towel and have one layer between my fingers and the post. Grab hard on the post and wiggle and pull like mad until it comes out. I use a lot of wiggle. ;) towel helps my grip. Or try one of those rubber jar opener mats for gripping. I wish I still had one.

Maybe someone else has a different way.

I just got a couple of pro tanks, only using one of them right now. Was working fine the first day, now I'm getting a consistent short reading on 2 evics and 1 vamo. Tried swapping the head with a known working evod head, no change.

Anyone else having this issue? Finally had a chance to start to research tonight on ecf. This is the Irish thread I found about pro tank issues so far.

Im having same issue when try the evods heads on my protank. I put back the protank head and all went perfect again, after a close inspection to see what can be diferent i notice that evod heads went down out a bit of the 510 threading on the PT bottom plate and PT heads stay a bit up inside the threading, maybe this is the cause of the bad reading on my vamo, at least for me the problem was only on evod heads on the PT,

dam.... too bad for me the few times did work was like the best vape from protank, i did try the PT/evod head in my twist works nice for a wile then i got my twist all flooded in the battery threading,

I noticed the same thing about the EVOD heads. I get a short reading using the full head in the PT base. The fix is too replace the top of the PT head with an EVOD head. I haven't experienced any more shorts now. :)

All of mine work great. I spend less time dicking with cartos and tank leaks, floods, etc...and more just enjoying my juices.

Same here - I am so much happier because I am not fussing with the protanks near as much as I was with clearo's or T3's! For the most part, I've had no issues at all - the only weird thing is that my first coils last a long, long time (almost 2 weeks, I think) - now I'm going through them every 3 days or so. Same juice, same vendor - though over 8 weeks, I've tried different pg/vg blends. It's not a big deal, just odd to me. I use both the protank replacement heads and evod. But, I just ordered my 3rd protank today! :)

There are no problems with the Protank that cannot be solved with the help of this good forum and the usual fiddly business that comes with all vaping systems.

For the atomizer tops I use a pair of pliers and pry it off.

I rebuild my atomizers to save money but more because I like my flavor my way....

Leaking is usually caused buy the atomizer not being firmly screwed into the base, it can loosen when screwing on and off the battery.

Most burnt atty taste is caused by overtightening the base and twisting the atty, (open it up and if it looks like a pretzel, you've overtightened).

Take long slow draws, hitting the button before just before you vape and letting up a second before you are done.

Check out the MANY threads on this forum where people have worked out some great solutions to problems by searching "Protank" as I did.

I gotta say....i'm not having any success with the Protank. I'll keep tinkering with it, but i'm getting frustrated. Too many dry hits. I even trimmed the rubber that is above the coil a bit so it doesnt strangle the wick and it helped some but if I take a long slow hit im almost guaranteed to get that dry burnt hit. Ready to give up and go back to my fav dual coils!!

What have you tried so far? What ratio is your liquid? I use 60/40 pg/vg. I find that I need to remove one of the flavor wicks, I turn that silicone cup upside down, and sometimes when I am chain vaping I have to unscrew the base from the tank a bit. Good luck.

I vape a 50/50 mix. I have tried the kicked GLV at both 7 and 8 watts. So far...like I mentioned, I have trimmed the silicone cap to fit better around the wicks. I also have tried to "untighten" the atty a bit from the tank. When I dont tighten all the way, their is a gap between the tank and the base (you can see the threads). The problem I have noticed, to get the tank flush with the base you have to really screw it in. So when tightening the base and the tank so they are flush, I think it really puts too much pressure on that silicone cap and wick. I dunno, I am adding this to the list of clearo types that I just dont like.

A free fix is use a small piece of scotch tape and put it on one of the grooves in the base of the protank.
Another is if you have a very thin piece of plastic cut to the shape of the protank base the put a hole in
the middle and push all the way up, you wont notice it once screwed on and it works.

Just wanted to chime in...

I treated my Provari to a ProTank about a week ago and it is very happy with it...as am I.

On a different note, yesterday I wound a coil using 32ga Kanthal using the 4-40 Screw method for my T3 heads... after screwing around for a couple HOURS trying to get that stupid *$&%ing silicone grommet to go back in, both heads had a dead short. The only way I could get them to work was to remove one coil and try again...that worked but now the resistance is too low to fire... arghhh

Then my lovely wife decided to go shopping and found pro tank replacement coils for 6.95 for a 5 pack. Assuming that I can cape for 7 days on a coil (certainly seems reasonable) this gets my daily coil expense to $.20. It really isn't worth my time to try and recoil them.

The point is that for the cost of the coils for the pro tank, I am going to stop using T3s and replace my fleet of clearos with pro tanks.

I haven't found any problems with my pro tank so far... I just love it! I'll definitely be getting more of them.

Thanks
Geo
