What really happens if you use Lorann's Spearmint Oil?

Haven't tried the spearmint, but I have peppermint and orange oils. Orange was bitter and not pleasant, and really lingered in the atty...won't use that again, and I decided that BEFORE I read about how you shouldn't vape oils.

I made the mistake of making a 10% peppermint oil juice. Yikes!! Way beyond too strong! As in I had to stop myself from throwing out the cart and atty! However, 1 drop in 10-15 mL is good, and is dilute enough that it might be ok to vape. Haven't had any problems with it so far, but then I don't vape mint very often.

Cinnamon is an oil I actually avoid, since it is a known lung-irritating aldehyde. I really like cinnamon candy or gum, but it can cause mouth ulcers with me, probably for the same reason...cinn oil will cause skin sores too. So I won't vape cinnamon at all.

I don't think the mints have this effect...the main concern with them is their relative insolubility in water, and might clog an atty. I have some of Vermont Vapor's Cool Mint, and I was told by them that they use Lorann's peppermint and menthol, but only a few drops per 30 mL bottle. Its a nice juice. Recommended.

So, nothing bad happens? It just tastes bad? I was really eyeballing the spearmint, it smells so good.

I concur, but I do use oils...
Number one is clove, others I have tried are witergreen, pepermint and spermint. I only use 4 drops MAXIMUM to 10ml of ejuice and I dont vape them everyday only when I have the hankering. At such low quantities I have had no ill effects from vaping them, 4 drops to 10ml is roughly .01% concentration per drop of ejuice. Since they are oil I use around 20 drops of Vodka or PGA to help them mix. I have no increase in atty failures other than the normal. Using them is at your own risk and oils flavors tend to "Stick" in the atty so if you are going to use them, dedicate a peticular atty for that flavor only.
Hope this helps
Dan

Try some peppermint extract ..you can get it anywhere. I use it all the time as a regular vape. The oil usually clogs up your attys from what ive read.

I was wondering this about Tasty Vapor's Atomic Fireball. I put off ordering it for the longest time because I was afraid of what it would do to lungs, etc. I know a lot of people love it, including me. But I do wonder what's happening when I vape it.

I love his ATF.....it does make me cough a bit after i vape it alot, So i usually back it up with Nhalers Lung Juice, which immediately stops the cough and cears up my lungs, or seems too.

I use oils and don't have a problem. I start with a single drop for 5 or 6 ml and I add an equal number of drops of plain vodka to make sure it emulsifies. I don't know that it is actually needed but it works for me.

I haven't killed an atty yet! (Fingers crossed)

:)

Just a recommendation.... for some of your mixes where you are using a fruit based flavor in oil.. That also has an associated brandy.. here is what I do.

For Example... I make a Flaming Peach Brandy.. kinda taste like Peach Jubilee!!!!

Cinnamon Oil.. 3 drops per 10 mls total volume.
Peach Brandy(store bought).. 3 drops plus 2 drops absynthe or vodka. I first mix these three together and shake them vigorously. Since oil, I allow to sit for ten minutes before continuing- just to ensure that the oil has a chance to yeild full emulsification, or as much as possible.

Then, I add 1.2 mls of regular non-oil based peach flavoring. shake all together again. Next, 7.5 mls 24 mg/ml VG base nicotine plus .9 ( basically) 1 ml of USP VG. This concoction gives you 10 mls of 18mg/ml flaming peach brandy. And you can pretty much substitute any flavoring with the same or adjusted quantities to your liking.

Dan, do you ever pre-mix the oils with alcohol and let them sit for awhile? I was wondering if this would help to emulsify or at least disperse them better.

TIA,
Max

I typically add them together just prior to adding them to the ejuice. I do notice that the ejuice once shaken is always cloudy, but clears quickly after that. The everclear really does not need to sit with the oil in it long, it is absorb and broken down almost immediatly.
Hope this helps

I use the Lorans cinnamon oil all the time. The only problem is it makes my atty hot a little faster than non-oil flavor. Other than that I vape it all the time. I have COPD and it doesn't bother my breathing. Everyone tolerates some flavors better than others. I tried wintergreen and it made me want to toss me cookies due to upset tummy.
