What resistance atomizer do you use on your GLV2 5V?

Im aware of, and have looked at, the resistance chart on greatlakesvapor.com

I received my GLV2 yesterday. The only attys i have for now are these:
www.valuevapor.com/VV/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25&products_id=504

my first overall impression was not enjoyable. The vapor is a little too hot for my taste, the flavor is not what I've heard it is and leaves minor throat burn on the exhale, and i had to redrip every 3-5 hits. I ended up getting a headache and switching back to my Ego.

Im thinking (and hoping) that these problems are the result of an lr atty on a 5v PV. Although on the website chart, 2.0-2.5ohm is apparently ok to use.

What resistance do you guys use, and do you have any tips to make my GLV experience more enjoyable? Thank you much.

I primarily use Boge 3.0 ohm cartos. I've found that some juice flavors (but not all) seem to get a little flat and harsh with anyting lower.

I would imagine atty performance would be similar.

Hope this helps.

byt do you think the symptoms I'm describing are a result of LR? Or does this sound like a regular glv vape?

Just to add one more thing...im roaming around the forum researching this topic, and the majority of opinions im seeing on this particular issue is that at 5v, 3ohms+ seems to be the general vote. however, here on the GLV forum, people seem to prefer 1.7-2.8ohm.

very odd to me. maybe its just personal preference, and some people just enjoy that harsher vape?

im still hoping that someone chimes in and elaborates a bit on why this might be happening to me. im trying to gauge if either its normal and just not for me, or if maybe its an atty issue (i tried like 5 different attys, granted none of them were brand new, but they were all performing fine on my Ego) or something else. I know there are a lot of variables, but like i said, I've had my GLV for less than 24hrs so im still a fresh newb!!

i might give jay a buzz later.

I use standard resistance attys 2.2 to 2.5 ohm. I put a 1.7 ohm dual coil tank on it yesterday and that worked fine. Mind you 5 volts is a tad bit hotter than 3.2 or 3.7 volts and atty's that say one thing may not ohm out the same and could have more or less resistance than what is stated. I noticed after using the GLV i could use my silver bullet at 6 volts whereas before it was way to hot a vape. Hope this helps.

thank you for responding. i actually just spoke with jay on the phone.

he said that nothing i described sounds out of the ordinary. basically the first step i should take is upping my ohms to 3 (which is what i was going to do anyway). second step would also be to try a different juice. he said a lot of the juices out there are tailored around 3.7v devices (ego), and might not give off as much flavor on a GLV or other high voltage devices.

The last step he said is maybe 5v just isnt for me, and if thats the case and i find no combination of voltage/ohm/juice that gives me the vape that i like, i can send my GLV in and they can put a new resistor on it that will resist the voltage to around 4v. i guess that would mean im just a puss-wuss

Not a wuss. It just takes some gettin' used to. Like I said about how six volts was now an option for me because I have been vaping at 5 volts. On a sad note I lost my GLV2 in the house somewhere last night. I'm not sure how that's possible as it is always in my hand Maybe I need to check the refridgerators again. So I'm using my Provari. It's a good mod but finicky and not my favorite anymore. On a bright note my new GLV2 is in town!
