What setup do you use for VG and dark liquids

Howdy folks,

Im using the Pheonix or Octopus rda. Im using 2mm silica wick and 32 gauge kanthal. Im finding that when I vape high % VG or dark liquid that my setup is gunking up pretty quickly. In a day or 2 at most.

Im wondering if there are any products out there that mitigate the effects of dark or thick juice.

If not, what setups are people using to deal with this issue?

Or does everyone just deal with gunked up RDAs

I build mine with exactly that... 2mm silica and 32g kanthal... I usually wrap my coils around 1.8-2.2, and Vape 70%vg. They do gunk up quick... the coils I just dry burn when the need it and that clears them up for another day or 2. When the wicks gunk up, I just wrap a new coil around fresh wick, and all is well again.... but that usually takes a couple weeks.

I've got quite few Phoenix clones setup with 32g and 3mm wicks. The one I use for Boba's I have to dry burn every couple of days. Saturday I set up one of my IGO-L attys with a mesh slug wick and 30g KA1 at 1.2 ohms. I've put a lot of Boba's and some DIY juice with home made cigar extract through it since then and haven't had any gunking troubles. Had to make the airhole bigger, 1/16", because the TH was too much. At first it was too airy of a draw but I quickly got used to it. This weekend I'm gonna start switching over my Phoenix and other smaller attys to slugs and see how they do.
