second gving them to the homeless. Just keep a couple packs on you. Next time a transient asks to bum a smoke, think of the appreciation on his face when you hand him 3 packs!!!

Add another "give to the homeless":

Every time I saw someone panhandling besides giving them money, I would always ask if they smoked and if they said yes I'd give them a smoke too.

Yesterday I was in the car and there was this one armed vet who I know I'd seen before and as I was reaching for my bag to get out a buck and a cig I realized 8-o I don't carry cigs anymore because I don't smoke

When I get home I put my extra packs of cigs in the glove compartment so next time I'd be prepared.

I've got 12 cartons of non FSC's as well. I feel the same way. In a few years when FSC only is all you can get they will be worth alot. maybe to a museme.sp?

I'm saving up for when I'm homeless ;-) I lived out of my van in LA years ago. Fun actually, except for finding a place to bathe. There was a 'core crew' of homeless there. When they'd approach me for money with a story, I'd say just tell me what you really want it for and I'll get it. It was always wine. So I'd get them a sandwich and a bottle of wine.

In the land of no hills and red dirt
send them to your governor with a letter saying that you no longer need them thanks to an e-cig

What good would that do? It's not like the imported cigs have the stamp to tell him or her that they'll be missing out on that tax money.

Mixed thoughts on giving them to the homeless. They can get a little aggressive in my city. What happens when he tells his friends, or you run into him after you're out? "What do you mean you don't got any? You gave Ray-Ray three packs last week!" "Why you holding out on me, man?" I'd rather give them to a homeless shelter and let them people running it deal with them.

If you think you may break down and smoke them later, then get rid of them. If you're pretty sure you won't, freeze them and keep them. The increasing taxes will make them more valuable, or you could extract the nicotine if your state bans e-liquid.

Well, a week ago today when the weather outside was cold and nasty, I built a big toasty fire in my fireplace. I took my last pack of butts and ceremoniously tossed them in the fire.
It was a meaningful ceremony for me. It marked the end of being a slave to cigarettes.
It felt GREAT! Do something that will mean something to you!
Still a slave, just a different master.
