I am very new to this have only been vapeing for roughly 4 weeks. And after over 24 yrs of analogs I haven't had any in 3 weeks. I am loving vapeing. My question is where to next. I started with smoke tip, then premium and picked up a 510 last week. I like each one of them in their own way. but the smoke tip and premium cartomizers don't last me long enough. I like being able to drip my 510. but with all of them it seems like the batteries don't last me as long as I would expect.
So I am looking very hard at the Joye ego tank xxl
2 questions: does this battery last noticeably longer?
and I know that Joye has a great reputation but are most ego t along the same quality? should I go with a no-name for $20 less?

Thanks for the help I have learned quite a bit through this site and all of you ROCK!

I'll tell you, after 2 weeks of using an eGo-T I have some frustrations with it:

1) Leaking. I've gone through 3 different atomizers, adjusted wicks on all of them. I've bought the silicone caps for the tanks. I've been careful not to jar it around a bunch. Still, I get leaks. It may be profuse, it may be just a trickle, but still...it leaks. I will 9 times out of 10 and up with a wet e-juice spot in my pocket after carrying my eGo-T around at work.
2) Flavor. I get almost no flavor from my eGo-T system. I've tried tons of different juices, even juices with double flavor in them, and still not much going on.
3) Consistency. I will sometimes get great hits (vapor wise), but 7 times out of 10 I get puny, weak, small vapor clouds.

I put my eGo-T atomizer away and I am now switching between a few different cartos. Smokymizers, Clearomizers, Smoktech Dual Coil Cartos. Much less leaking and INSANE flavor.

I can't in good conscious recommend an eGo-T to anyone.

Welcome to ECF.
Batt Info:
100 mah= 1 hour Vaping on single coil Cartomizer
100 mah= 1/2 hour on dual coil Cartomizer.
Always recharge batts before they're less than 25%. They'll last longer. I would advise to only buy a Kit from a vendor that lists the specs of the batts. Also make sure you buy a manual battery. They allow more control over the vape, less chance damage from the juice and, unlike auto batts, won't go off due to loud noises. Be wary of Joye clones.
Welcome to ECF, Vapoor.

Yes many have had problems with tanks BUT there are quality tanks out there. Riva or Joye Ego Starter Kits are great with Cartomizers. Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo is a very reputable vendor and has a 20% off coupon- upper left corner. Best to deal with a vendor that is listed here at ECF. If they are not selling quality product or thier service is lacking members will call the out on it. Depending on how much you vape sometimes, depending on the size of the Cartomizer, only need to fill them twice per day. I would wait for dormouse's advise A's she knows the Egos very well and will offer some valuable advise.
Good Luck, Vapoor.

I wanted to try an ego tank atty and had it in my cart many times, but too many
bad reviews, i.e. leaking, no flavor, etc....

I do still have the 3 ego batteries that I bought when I "moved up" like you are,
still work, hold a full charge, useful for dripping, testing a new carto or atty, small
easy to carry connected to your favorite heating element. :)

I mostly use higher voltage, larger mods now, but still love my first ego, and it was
one of the best buys I have made in my search for my vaping sweet spot.

Ok here goes this is my first post on here,I have been vapeing for 3 yrs now and i guess i have tried almost every style ecig you can think of and imo for a new vaper you cant go wrong with the ego or ego style as for the ego-t style if you get the (a) tanks cone shaped they seem to work alot better than the (b) straight tanks they leak bad, also you have the choice of uesing 510 attys and dripping, or tank mod's and they have decent battery life. I did order a Kgo kit from Hoosier e cig and found that the batteries do last longer and hit harder than the Joye battey. Also if you dont like refilling as often you may look into the Fluxomizer xl they work pretty good and last decent, myself i have found the Smoktec tank mod from madvapes works great for the price and it doesnt leak and carto is easy to change.Hope this helps,Happy vapeing!

A better long term alternative to the ego IMO, is the E-Power 510. It is the same size as the ego and performs better than the ego's 650 mAh, 3.4v battery. The E-Power's battery is 900 mAh and is 3.7 volts. But the savings comes in the cost of the batteries. The ego's batteries cost $15 - $20 each and can only be recharged 150 - 200 times. The E-Power's batteries cost around $4 and can be recharged 1000+ times. Big savings in recurring costs. Plus you can buy the E-Power batteries at battery stores as they are non-proprietary.

For better consistency and warmer vapor, however, I would also look at a good 5 volt model, such as the 5 volt GLV2 or a good power regulated or variable volt model, such as the Darwin or Provari.

Ego Dual Coil Cartomizer looks nice it holds 5 ml of juice...may be i will try that on the 510 I have right now see if I like and then purchase either a ego or kgo battery (or maybe on of each to see the difference)

Heyas,

ppl usually advise against using dual coil or lr cartos on slim batts. Could damage your batts, or so I'm told.

I'm one of the minority here that loves my eGo T. I love my tanks, but I'm also enjoying using the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartos too. I pretty much solved my leak problems with the silicone caps, and as for flavor, I get as much flavor from the tanks as I do the cartos. It's a matter of preference. I have a tank on one battery and a carto on another.

I've been a fan of the eGo since I've started, however I do not have much to compare it to. For my next model I will look into this e-Power model. I find that it is important to blow out the atomizer often to keep things working good.

The ego-t with the 1100 mah batteries was my first step up, and I love it. I have since purchased a glv-2 and a q2v3 copper mod and am waiting on the precise plus 18650 to become available, but I still enjoy my ego with a low resistance atomizer as I mainly drip now. I don't see how you can go wrong with one.

I would go with a 3.7V over an eGo. They will work better with LR attys/cartos and allow you to use a wider array of them. I have the ePower and love it. It handles anything I put in it without a problem. Everything is replaceable on the Epower so it keeps costs down and the batteries last a lot longer before they need to be replaced compared to an eGo, and the batteries are much cheaper. Epower batteries are $4 compared to ego batteries that are $14-20.
CCV has a great deal on the Epower and you get over $25 in free stuff. The ressurectors you get for free with the kit are awesome and are what I use daily. They are 1.7ohm and hold 2ml of juice so they last a long time.
And if you like dual coils, there is a dual coil that is specifically designed for the Epower. It holds over 5ml so it holds just as much as a tank but won't give you the problems that tanks have.
The Riva and kGo are also great 3.7V PVs that are popular too. I would go with one of them.

Oh and don't use a dual coil or LR carto on the battery you have now. You will most likely ruin it. Their not made to handle those.

Goodluck!
