Anyway, I quit cigarettes just before Christmas and haven't had a single smoke since. I'm still on Zyban and still chewing the gum, but I'm trying to quit that ASAP.I think I'd like to reward myself with completely getting off both of those with a nice new e-cig for fun. I really don't think I'd want to use any high-nicotine liquid anyway.....probably just the 4mg stuff would be fine (which, for example, CanadaVapes.ca seems to imply is in their e-liquid).I don't mind having to work with a tank or anything fiddly. I'd probably enjoy it.I just want a well-made e-cig that works well, gives lots of smoke and I'll be satisfied with.I'm in the Brampton area, and I'd head out to a meet up, but I'm a bit carless ATM. I'll have my motorcycle out in the spring, but until I move in with my GF April 1st and get to use her car, it'll be hard for me to get out for it.Any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I won't give any recommendations on gear as I am a noob too, but I will say hey! and congratulate you on making a most excellent decision to join the vaping world! I didn't use the typical drugs and replacement gums/inhalers/patches this time (I have had many, many previous failed attempts) as they were usless for me, but can say with some confidence that you will find it much easier to stay off the ciggs with a PV. You will likely find vaping just as effective and enjoyable as I did and do. Lots of info here for deciding on a device and lots of folks who can steer you right.

Happy vapour trails!

This one was my first, and six months later I'm still not smoking. Although you'll have to shop elsewhere for juice if you want some nic.Don't forget the promo code when checking out :)
Thanks. So that is the one without a tank? What is the main difference? can I get a tank later so it ends up being the same as an EGO-T?

It just comes with regular 510 atomizers, but yes, all you need is to purchase the tanks and t-atomizers and it is a complete ego-t.

Lots of suggestions.....thanks guys. What are you guys smoking now? And why do you suggest these models?
I have since gifted my ego to a buddy to get him off the stinkies. For now (at least until the mail arrives) you'll have a hard time getting my GLV mini out of my hand :)

I suggest the ego for beginners, because it has enough battery to last most of the day, and is pretty much idiot proof, which helps takes the stress out of the n00bie e-cig experience.

I currently have an eGo with cartomizers. Next to zero fiddle factor. That being said, I've got the itch to buy a slim style ecig like a Kanger 808 type. Why? No idea, but the price seems right to try something different. Don't think the VV or high voltage thing is for me...

Highly recommend the eGo though for ease of use and performance for a small PV.

My thoughts would be a provari. I have one and love it. Was 3 pad smoker and have been smoke free for almost 5 months. Reasons I sat get one is I see you ride as do it. It has a great on off feature that's nice so I don't have to worry about another burnt leg from the button getting pressed as I ride and not able to smell the juice or my leg getting a nice zippo like burn. It also is very well built in the USA and has a great company with great service to back it up. It's a regulated and variable voltage device so you can find the best taste in each juice and enjoy the power not dropping off like a none regulated mod has. Any tank with a 510 connection fits and those are plenty. If you have any questions feel free to pm me and I can tell ya more.

I will add that I am also planning on getting a ProVari as some have suggested you do. If you want to see what I started with you can go here. I had a fair bit of advice on getting that setup which I find is terrific for vaping just about anything so far, but I want to go for the full-on vape experience of a high voltage device. Not to mention the fact that the ProVari is US made and built to last. Maybe you should go full vape feind and make the jump right away? Up to you. Pricey gadget, but worth it from what I have heard.

Well, this is rather overwhelming. I'll have to do some reading to figure out what is best. I've yet to see an argument as why cartos are more convenient than tanks....So far, the eGos *look* like quality build.....I don't mind paying $100 for a starter kit if it is quality and worth it. The Provari seems a little bit much right, but I just want something I'll be satisfied with that I can get a starter kit around $100 and it be worth it.

Also, I'm still a bit confused about nic in these liquids. I got the list of nic brands/vendors....but does this mean that any liquid on a canadian site *not* on this list has *some* nic in it? or none? Personally, I'd rather there be either no nic at all (since I've already quit and would rather not go back on a nic cycle even if its vaping) or just a very small amount.....

I also have a GLV2 mini as my main PV and i have to say it is money very well spent, but the bloog is a simple set up for beginers

If you look on the list, there's 2 sections. One section has the vendors that sell nicotine liquid, and the second section is only vendors that sell liquid with ZERO nicotine. There isn't some, or a small amount, it's none :) If you have already quit then going no nic seems to be right. Although you did say you're still chewing the gum, which contains nicotine. You might find it difficult to jump right off to nothing. I would suggest getting some zero nic liquid and some with a small amount (6mg?) and test to see what you enjoy.

For a starter kit, you will get the best prices and service at Canvape. If you have questions they will make sure everything is answered before you place an order. Tom and Adam are really great guys. If you want, Adam is mopar on these forums so you could PM him for some advice if you're interested in buying from them. It is all a bit overwhelming at first!

As far as suggestions go, I would suggest this eGo LCD-Tank Kit 1100mAh Black or Stainless V2 this vv eGo ego variable voltage ego ksd 3.2 3.7 4.2 pass through usb 900mAh 5 click electronic cigarette e-cig smoke vape vaper vapor vapour OR this eGo Riva 1100mAh Black w/gold band or Stainless and then you can add some extra cartomizers/atomizers/whatever you want and buy some liquids and still make it come in around $100 :)

Something cheap and reliable, get a bare bones 510 kit (cheapest and most common pretty much any vendor here or state side carries), or an ego, you might not like it so don't blow a buncha money on a test.

That said my friends I just hooked up with EV Torches and they love them, good value on them and have some nice features. Get em from Kat at electrovapors.com great service.

Ok, I understand that part. I guess my question is, are there brands / flavours on these sites that aren't listed that have just a little? Or is this list exhaustive? Sorry for my confusion. I just think I'd like something with a very small amount, seems like 6mg is the lowest.....

I like the look of those LCD ones on Canvape......they look quality. Like I said, I don't think I want something top notch like the Provari (just yet, anyway ;)). But if I'm going to invest in something like this, I'd might as well get something proven and quality even if a starter kit costs me $100 (+ shipping, I guess). I like spending a little more to get quality things, and this should be no different.
