I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I like the look of those LCD ones on Canvape......they look quality. Like I said, I don't think I want something top notch like the Provari (just yet, anyway ;)). But if I'm going to invest in something like this, I'd might as well get something proven and quality even if a starter kit costs me $100 (+ shipping, I guess). I like spending a little more to get quality things, and this should be no different.
I am told the eGo LCD is a very nice battery that can be used with a large number of attys and cartos. If it were me though, and you are sure you want to get something reliable and sturdy but with the added bonus of variable voltage, which is very nice, then I can definitely recommend the KSD eGo VV Passthrough setup that I wound up buying. Again, go look at the link I provided above, then go to canvape and buy 2 of them along with some Boge 2 ohm cartos (at least 2x 5-packs) and the same number of smoketech 1,5 ohm dual coil tank cartos. There are many sites that sell e-juice and they all list their ingredients quite plainly so you will be able to choose a strength you want.

Anywhere from/to in Canada is about 3-5 days delivery time, with local being overnight sometimes, depending on where you live and when you order. I have been quite happy with my KSDs and the other stuff I recommended above. You could even get the eGo LCD's and use them with the other stuff I mentioned, but variable voltage is a nice thing to have. Go on over to canvape and hit the contact button. Tom will answer all your questions. The other .ca vendors are equally helpful for that matter, but I admit a bias towards canvape as I got extremely good help and I had no idea what I was doing at the time.

Don't be shy if you have more questions. Folks here are very laid back and well topped up with nic so you need not be worried on that front. Only too happy to help another noob.

I should have added that "passthrough" refers to the ability to use the device while charging. Another nice feature.

I just got a LCD with the 1100mAh battery. It works fine and you can vape all day and then some....but the tanks leak and the tanks do not always keep the wick wet and I get a burnt flavor which is nasty . I just ordered some boge cartos for my 501t beacuse I like vaping with it as well. I also got a 280mAh battery as the 180mAh battery needs to be charged more frequently.
The ego 1100 is also quite large however I am getting used to drawing on it but I still like the 501 for the psychological hand to mouth feeling and also to just hold it in my hand while I'm driving .
I think my next purchase might be a Kanger 808 with the larger battery. They look like a medium size and good battery power to get you through the day.

Sincerely,

Ford.

I would ALWAYS recommend an Ego for a newbie. Simple, lasts a long time.

I think that 95% of us on here went through the same process, 510 kit, maybe a 510 Mega Battery, (because we wanted it to look and feel like a CIGARETTE), then we all said, 'Ah hell, I'm getting sick and tired of switching out my batteries, (if you were more than a PAD smoker), I'll take the leap and try out this Ego thing'!

Then we all said, "Ohhhh...THAT'S what they were all talking about!"

We're just trying to get you through it without having to purchase a 'starter kit'.

At the beginning, keep it simple. If you get into mods, etc., you're going to find yourself frustrated and, if worse comes to worse, back on the analogs!

Best of luck and we're ALWAYS here for support!

First, welcome to the forum KillFace.

It is confusing at first with all the recommendation, been there too a couple weeks ago.

I suggest an eGO, it's easy to use, versatile, dependable & has long battery life. I have the VV ksd 900 passthrough, I wish I would have just started with it.

I totally agree with what Happy Dom said.

I shopped around a bit & found canvape to be the best place to get hardware, outstanding customer service, they answer questions almost immediately & ship super fast.

Good luck

Ok, I understand that part. I guess my question is, are there brands / flavours on these sites that aren't listed that have just a little? Or is this list exhaustive? Sorry for my confusion. I just think I'd like something with a very small amount, seems like 6mg is the lowest.....

I like the look of those LCD ones on Canvape......they look quality. Like I said, I don't think I want something top notch like the Provari (just yet, anyway ;)). Oh ok, sorry about that. Usually 6mg is the lowest. Lowest I've seen, anyways. However, you could buy juice that is double flavoured and buy some PG or VG and mix the 6mg down to 3mg (but I don't suggest doing this when you're just starting). 6mg is really quite quite low, though. Most Canadian cigarettes have between 1.3% nicotine (which would be 13mg), so it's about half that, and you get less nicotine with vaping than you do from smoking a cigarette. You could stay at 6mg for a while and then you could venture into mixing it down yourself once you've got some time under your belt. That would be my best suggestion simply because you are still chewing the nic gum and going staright to a 0mg juice might be too much at once and frustrate you.

As for the LCD @ Canvape. Me and my boyfriend went from a small cig size battery (used for about 3 weeks -- not worth what I paid for it either! lol) to using the eGo LCD which we both like very, very much. It lasts all day, is nice to hold in the hand, 5-click turn-off for when you'd like to put it in your pocket/bag, and I really do like having the LCD to see battery life and puff count. My boyfriend's had a small issue of the center post not wanting to stay in the right position so I told Adam and he said we will put a brand new one into the order you have shipping out tomorrow (this was a couple weeks after purchase) and just send us the other one regular mail once you get the new one, we will even pay you back the postage on your next order. I mean, how is that for service!?! I must first say that they gave us the fix, which was very easy, but didn't "fix" it to my bf's satisfaction. They didn't hesitate in sending us a new one. This isn't a common problem and can happen with any battery, my point in telling this is just to illustrate how awesome their customer service is :D

You're on the right track! Doing a lot better already than most of us did in the beginning LOL :p

You can still get the eGo LCDs at a later time if you decide you just have to have one. The attachements you will get are fully compatible with any 510 style device. There are also adapters available for banging on other things too. I think you will be happy with that choice. I am. You will also find out pretty quick that you need more cartos/attys, but that can wait a wee bit. Happy vapour trails to you!

Tom actually noticed that I wouldn't be able to use the add-ons you suggested, TrueNorthist.....so, instead of the kit, I'm getting two of these: KSD eGoVV 900mAh Pass Through Battery with Smoketech Dual Coil Tank plus the tank tip (or something)

So I can use the tank.....I think that completes the setup, right?

Also, the EGO-C seems rather promising...I may get one of those if they're as awesome as promised.

I'm still a bit confused, but I think once I get all the parts and figure it out it'll be all good.

Take your time on these things - like my neighbour says "TOO MUCH CONFUSE!"

I've ordered the eGo-C parts from Nicfitnation - If you have an eGo battery - it's like $50 for the cone, base, body, tank tips etc. I'll let you know how it all works out in the weeks to come.
