Congrats OP! Glad you found better taste. Some do say that plastic either mutes, or imparts a plasticy taste to juices. Some even go so far as to transfer their juice from plastic bottles into glass.
I'm not going to start suggesting a slew of other equipment. You'll get a ton of suggestions I'm sure. Rather, I'm going to suggest something very simple you can do to improve the Protank 2's even more. Try removing the silica wicks and replace them with cotton, rather then throw a burnt coil out. Often, when you get a burnt taste, its the wicking and not the coils themselves. You will get more life from the coils this way, plus many prefer the taste they get from cotton then from silica. It's often a purer taste with cotton, while silica can mute flavors for some. Protank 2 coils are great, as they give you a ton of options. You can even replace the heating coil with kanthal if you're up to that some day.
