Ahmmm........ Authentic Kanger™ SSOCC (SS316L) Replacement Atomizer Heads

Sadly Chinese Tech Support leaves much to be desired:facepalm:

Clearing Up the Confusion About The Kanger SSOCC Coils

Give it Time.......... With EU TPD, Kanger will need to Release the SS Coils due to Coil Wire Restrictions. It is almost a given.

Also, those look different than the ones included with the Toptank. My 316SS coil has a wider body like this:

I agree with the OP. Why wouldn't they officially release these on one of their two official websites? (Yes Kanger has two websites) And when in the blue hell are they going to release Titanium or the controversial TC Nichrome coils?

Vapor Authority is the only site I've found that sells these and they sell them by singles. Also what is pictured above on the Vapor Authority website aren't the newer and improved V.2 SSOCC's with the fatter body and bigger juice holes. The ones at least in the picture here are definitely version ones and not version 2's (the ones that actually come with the toptank kit.

Over at sweet-vapes.com they are actually trying to get rid of these older, more slender V.1 coils at a reduced price while they offer the newer version 2's for about 3 bucks more. No SS at SV either though.

Yep those are the newer and fatter Version 2 SSOCC's. The ones pictured at Vaping Authority appear to be the more slender Version 1's. I really don't notice too much of a difference though.

The standard Red rings are NiChrome.
What would you consider a "TC" version?

I'm still new to this and am still learning about wires myself. While the standard red rings are Nichrome, I've tried them in TC and they don't seem to work. I was being silly when I said "Controversial Nichrome for TC" due to the fact that the standard red ones (both SSOCC and OCC don't work while in Nichrome TC mode.. at least not for me.

I was thinking there may be a more TC centric type of Nichrome wire (there are different grades of Nichrome right?) that Kanger may release in the future that actually does work in TC NC mode since they clearly are telling us to use the red nichrome coils in VW mode only. If someone can correct me if I'm wrong, please do.

That's not the wire, that's Kanger deluding themselves into thinking they have a "ready for primetime" NiCr TC mode... I'm being harsh, but that's the impression I get from the reviews.

Be harsh all you like... I'm just as upset about this confusion as you are. What upsets me is in the manual of both my Kbox 75TC (topbox mini kit mod) and my new shiny Kbox160 is that in the manual it says to use Nichrome mode for Nicrhome wire.. But yet when you go to their official site and click at the top of the page Specifications>Coils.. they clearly state we should be using Nicrhome in VW mode only.

Not only that, they even mentioned something I don't understand.. probably due to the horrible chinglish translation... something about Kanthal coils will read as Nichrome wire on the mod? That doesn't even make sense.

Then there is the issue of them telling us what wattage to use our NI200 coils at on that little blue priming card we all got with the toptank mini kit? Are they crazy? We can't adjust wattage in TC mode. See where I'm going with this? They have contradicted themselves more than twice already.

I agree Kanger needs to get their act together.

Just annoying how they would send the coil in the kit and not make replacement packs to buy if you like the coil.....

It is! It's like releasing a product in beta while not even releasing all accessories at launch. Trust me, I noticed this from the start just like you and it really bothers me still.

Oh and lets not forget... Where in the hell are the Titanium coils Kanger!!!??? They literally released the mod with no coils for that wire mode on the mod. It's crazy, I know. Good thing there is still the RBA.
