A paperclip hehehee.(i'm pretty sure that even wire from a coat hanger is thinner than 20g, let alone 18g, just so you kno)

i used 18g kanthal and 24g SS430, but 20g will be okay as the bridge. :)
And Thanks :D

EDIT: I wouldnt see why you can twist some wires together to make something thick enough for the bridge part, come to think of it why not do that and make the coils twisted aswell !? LOL

i'm sort of toying with the idea of doing the other build that doesnt show the coils glowing.
Its hard to find anything at or above 20g in my area. but I could do a couple strands of 24g Kanthal twisted for the bridge. maybe ill wait till Ive got some 28g Kanthal so I can twist that and use it for the coils. talk about a twisted mess hehe

Okay, I guess you meant you couldn't find any locally. I thought you meant at all. Let me know if you need some recs for where to buy various grades online.
yeah shouldve specified lol Moneys been tight and that extra few bucks for shipping has kept me from ordering online.

And the point of a bridge?

The point of the bridge is to essentially extend your post making the holes "much larger". While a typical post hole may only fit 3 or 4 24g wires, a bridge would open up the ability to attach 8 or 9 so you could basically go into octuple or sextuple builds!

Question spawned from that, how the hell can you possibly build that way and not exceed a massive amp draw. Octuple 24g build? Can see this being -500ohm, its very existence fires without a battery. Triple twisted 26g dual wrapped 12 times is .26 ohm on my velocity.

At 120w I break 20 amp limit of my HE4s.

Well, the few times ive built with this style in mind, it was a sextuple 26 macro build. Ohmed out to around 0.12. And then it was of course ran on a mech mod! Most of these types of builds are strictly mech use only, and even then I HIGHLY advise to stay away from building that low. Super unsafe and not worth the risks involved.
